In the Jotens - Downhill in a hurry
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 63/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 59/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah (AC 4, HP 53/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 44/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 50/50)
Boff (AC 5, HP 61/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)
Hex (AC 0, HP 27/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)

Androgost brushes off the Paralyzation as well, but the three Shtelke surrounding him continue their claw/claw/bite routine. The two attacking the front of Androgost cannot penetrate his near invulnerable armor, but the rear one does land a claw (2 hp) and bite attack (6 hp).

The surviving Shtelke in the tree (#5) give out a roar and swoops down to attack Siouxsie, but the Druid evades all three of the blows.

This takes it to the actions of the adventurers.

Keeps slicing at the negotiator for the moment, he will try to disable but not kill:

Just a note here, last round was your 1 attack round but you got a "extra" attack from the fumble of the opponent. Since you have 3/2 with the longsword this is your 2 attack round.

Thank you for the reminder! Here is the missing attack, I just rolled.

Raffi will move up to the tree near 5 and throw two none magical daggers up at it.

Hex will move up to the bush Raffi just moved from to gain a better vantage of the battle.

Siouxsie

Takes a smooth, larger than an egg sized pebble from her waist pouch. Placing it in the leathered cup strapped to her oak staff, she whirls it expertly above her head and releases the stone to impact upon the forehead of a Shletke creature, the one who injured her previously.

Siouxsie: uses Staff-sling hurling Bullet pebble. [1d20+1]=17+1=18 damage s/m [2d4]=5
(vs THAC0 16)

Even accounting to a medium range penalty, it should hit AC0.

"Bravo. One coconut on the shy."

apparently so.

With Quarterstaff in hand, as it has closed to me and I would rather fend it off than try to draw my blade, I will try to bash it away.

Siouxsie: uses QuaterStaff-sling in melee. [1d20]=5 damage s/m [1d6]=6

"Expletives .... @#£ @#£&¥¥$" she swears in draconic at him.

Qleceec

Qleceec drops her bow and quiver, draws her shield and long sword and activates her armor's Jump power and Jumps to #2 and attacks with her long sword.

Long Sword +2 [1d20+3]=15+3=18 to hit [1d8+4]=1+4=5 damage
Long Sword +2 [1d20+3]=13+3=16 to hit [1d8+4]=5+4=9 damage

gurusql wrote: Sat Feb 04, 2023 1:48 am Remember is party initiative (high roll) and alternating afterward.
This is my mental view of the movement. 1-5 are the Dragon-men (Shtelke). Everyone has a different first letter, so that is from the first name, the larger text names are on horseback.
Hex has two horses (Raffi), Qleceec has two horses (spare) and there are two more horses with the lead group (belonging to Androgost and Siouxsie)
Chapter1.png
Nah Olos grabs his bastard sword, carries the crossbow in in off hand and moves up to engage the Shtelke on Androgost with a rear attack.

backstab
Back stabbing is the striking of a blow from behind, be it with club, dagger, or sword. The damage done per hit is triple at lvl 5-8
Note that striking by surprise from behind also increases the hit probability by 20% (+4 on the thief's "to hit" die roll).

Garrant moves another 10' closer and mutters a brief spell. Four small glowing spheres streak from his hand and zoom towards the Shtelke attacking Siouxsie.

Boff

Boff will move around to help with the mass melee around Androgost but moves to far to attack this round.

Franny

Franny will watch around her and the wizard with her sling at the ready. She will mention to Garrant "With all the roars, I have to think reinforcements must be on the way."

In the Jotens - Downhill in a hurry
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 63/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 59/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah (AC 4, HP 53/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 44/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 50/50)
Boff (AC 5, HP 61/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)
Hex (AC 0, HP 27/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)

Androgost lands his disabling blows against the negotiator (#1) and would most likely knock him out, but Nah comes up behind over the tree branch and lands a killing blow. Warm blood that smell of chlorine sprays on the half-orc.

Siouxsie swings her staff and the blow bounces harmlessly off the Shtelke's armored skin and the dagger throws from Raffi also do no damage. (Not sure I got the position that you intended for Raffi?) Qleceec jumps 30' over to the area of Siouxsie and then lands two blows to the Shtelke attacking the druid. Just thereafter, Garrant fires a magic missile killing the Shtelke (#5)

Hex moves closer to the action taking Raffi's previous position.

Boff moves into position and Franny makes a comment to Garrant while watching the parties rear and flank.

Three of the Shtelke are now dead (#1 [the negotiator], #4 and #5 [the two that started in the trees]). This leaves only two Shtelke that were previously ganging up on Androgost, now being surrounded by Androgost and Nah with Boff, Qleceec and Siouxsie on the wings. The two attempt to escape to the south letting out another roar and then take off on all fours. Androgost and Nah can attempt a parting shot with their HTH weapons. Since everyone was armed for HTH (but not in HTH with those two), there is not really an opportunity for a parting shot. The spell casters could use a 1-2 segment spell if desired.

Qleceec will head back and get her bow and quiver she dropped and her horses.

Garrant

As the Shtelke make a break for it Garrant starts to cast a spell. As they clear the group and near the trees the spell casting completes and a mass of sticky webs appears in the area of the enemy (starts 3" away and extends 1" W x 1" H x 8" L)

(If I need a wider AoE to catch both I will do 2" W x 1" H x 4" L)

Androgost

Confirms if the negotiator is indeed dead or not. Then turns to watch Garrant‘s efforts, if prisoners are in play or not.
