(remember that one handed the bastard sword damage is the same a long sword - since your roll disagrees with your text I stayed with the roll.).

I think it’s in the PHB near the weapons table.

Pg 38 in the weapons table "Sword, bastard **"

**Treat as long sword if used one-handed.

Yup, it is just a long sword with a slightly longer hilt. Sometimes called a hand and a half sword. Historically they were usually called Arming Swords, or even just Swords.

Well, if you tell me that there's a 200 strong "revenge force", that's a good reason for me to NOT let you loose, as it would kinda speed up facing the consequences...

I am opposed to letting them go either way. It is just stupid and my character is a Ranger who are supposed to know more about evil humanoids then anyone else.

If we can tell which way the arrows came from, it may be best to be along that cliff side so they can't hit us from up top (if that's possible with the lay of the land). And then curry along the base of the cliff until there's a spot we can meet them hand to hand.

For those that have lost track, Raffi is on the SOUTHERN Hill and the arrow came from south of him and was fired into the air, in a northernly direction.

Androgst will try and take on some of the leadership decisions befitting his role - but do not hesitate to say (in or out of char) if you completely disagree with any of it!

I don't like having the two chars on the north face while we move to the south, but leaving our rear at risk (knowing that there is likely some large number of hobgoblins to the north) for the whole group is asking too much of him.
