Amun

"That sounds like a good idea, at least that one group goes that way. Maybe some of us going for Luther? The cave he's held in is really close to the waterfall. But we'd have to go in a wide circle in order not to let their hunters in the trees spot us."

Maag

"From der edge of der pool to der 'uts, it looks like about two 'undred feet, wiv der waterfall makin' all dat noise as cover."

" 'ow much cover is der out in der fields? It looks like der next best fing to open ground. If a group comin' from dat direction was spotted too early dey would 'ave to fight just to get into der village."

"I fink dat I will take me chances wiv der boat."

The Beginning Of The End
Godsday, 2nd of Harvester
Late Morning, Humid, Warm, Misty

Powstap reports that there are likely guards at the end of the trail, up in the trees, but he doesn't know of any wall, pits, or other traps set in place there. He awaits the orders for him and his 20 warriors as plans for the invasion continue to be ironed out.

Allissa suggests she lead an advance team that moves in before first light to attempt locking their warriors inside their barracks before the entire group moves into the battle. She also expresses the need for the invasion to come from multiple avenues; fields, jungle, and waterfall, hoping to cause confusion while they use the surrounding cover to their advantage. Suggesting that spells should come in very handy in this instance, she reminds everyone that a bitter escape would end much better than an unnecessary and painful death.

Maag thinks setting fire to a building or two might both aid with light and cause some extra confusion. Grimm agrees to move in with the advance team that will be searching for traps along the way. Elnaerel tells the group she could attempt to silence any enemy spellcasters, including the devilish demoness herself, possibly.

Following his weapons advice, TK thinks the river might be the best way to enter the area unseen. Powstap confirms that the charmed natives have completely stopped using rafts, halting permanently any transportation along the northern portion of the swift moving waterway for some reason. It is agreed that several folks could use the river to ferry in closer, using the noise and mist to their advantage as well.

Daisy
Daisy's in the right group.

Ah wonder if the fact that these folks ain't using the river means something. Maybe the Demon woman is afraid of water- or it weakens her...

Confirm the teams for both Liam and Keg

Liam perks up at Daisy's suggestion. Or at the very least holy water... What would it take to make some in advance? If nothing else a good splash in the face is a good distraction in the middle of a fight. Surely it is worth trying.

Keg checks his gear and gets ready, making sure no one needs a sword or anything since he has a spare.

"I will move in with you and we will find the cave. If they threaten to hurt Luther as we move in, what do we do? I care for Luther, as you all saw, but there will be no use bargaining with a demon. I say we go in with full power regardless of any threats to hurt him."

Allissa

"Well, that waterfall is the domain of the dragon. And they don't get along with Momma, so my guess is that the dragon does something unfortunate to the followers of Momma if they get in the river."

"I'm sure it will be okay for you guys. But maybe you should state your intentions before you use the river, just in case." Her lack of visibility makes it quite hard to tell if she's joking or not. :D

Darklin

Is in the right group. He will step out into the Clear at the edge of the Jungle and cover anyone going into start fires or lock doors. Keeping his magic arrows in reserve for Momma when needed.

Grimm, Elnaerel and Yrias and in the right groups.

Grimm "Well, this Momma has taken the dragon's worshippers from him, so... No wonder he's angered against her and those she charmed."

Yrias nods at Amun's words.

Daisy
OK Ah'm sorry, Liam. I ain't near enough to the Divine for that. She gives an impish grin.
But Momma doesn't know that. If ya'll have any containers, fill them. When you start the attack, somebody yell "Holy Water, Now!" Then, everyone throw their containers at her at once.
That will be a good diversion.

Wes

Wes looks for a long length of vine to make into a snare. "Let's see if it works against MommaPappa as well as it did against the troll, eh?" he says, looking for one of the others who journeyed to the first obilisk. Then he realizes that the only other survivors of that group are Grimm, Alissa and Luther. And of course Luther is still alive. Obad Hai watches over all his hunters.

Maag

"So wot if dis actually works?" says Maag, looking up from sharpening his sword. "We run in, knock out der guards, grab Luther an' leg it. Which way? Back down der trail? Across der river? Into der jungle? I reckon der trail is der best bet".

The Knife

"Soooo..." says The Knife's voice from somewhere among the group of people. "In the interests of mission planning I thought I'd mention that I found something in the rubble of the ruined tower. A rin..thing. A thing. This... thing makes me invisible. I thought I'd bring it to your attention now, so that those of us who are invisible can go ahead as a group and, you know, wreak havoc or whatever the plan is. You could say it's in the interests of full transparency." The Voice starts to giggle.

Wake

Wake will agree to join group A, "I am happy to join group A, but I do want to be sure it is not a surprise that I am not very quiet dressed in Banded Mail nor invisible."

The Best Laid Plans
Godsday, 2nd of Harvester
Late Morning, Humid, Warm, Misty

Despite Luther being gone for over a full day already, both groups agree to stay here in the natives camp to rest overnight before heading out before sunrise to invade MommaPamma in her native waterfall camp. Powstap listens to the plans form both teams, trying to figure out where he and his 20 warriors will be needed most. Wes gets a visit from Mr. Wrenly a few hours after the group arrives. He uses a spell to speak with the animal as the others prepare for what might be the last battle they ever fight. (we can continue that action in your private thread until we get caught up)

The night goes by uneventfully and the groups are roused very early for their short trip north. Liam, Daisy, Amun, Elnaerel, Yrias, Feanol, and Maag make their way across the river, headed towards the trail they found earlier that should bring them very close to the area where they intend to cross again, using the mist from the falling water to conceal their movement. They drag the raft and a long rope along with them on their journey, arriving well before first light. The mist prevents you from seeing anything on the other side of the river.

Allissa, TK, Grimm, Keg, Darklin, Wes, and Wake all follow the lead of the natives, arriving near the end of the trail before sunrise. From there, they push their way into the jungle until they are in position situated directly across the clearing from the cave. It is still completely dark out when you arrive, and infravision doesn't reveal any heat sources nearby.

Wes

For the A team only:
Seriously. Go away.
"We have a big problem. My conversation with Mr. Wrenly. I had to use Obad Hai's magic to speak with him. That's not normally necessary. I tried it once, he told me that since he was Chauncey's associate, he could speak well enough himself."

"Mr. Wrenly told me that Chauncey put pictures in his head. Luther chained in the cave. The river bank undefended."

"Something's happened to Chauncey. Those pictures are bait in a trap."

For the A Team.
Not the one with Mr. T.
Elnaerel "Something was going on with him since before we arrived at Clifftown... He might well have been possessed by Momma."

Yrias "Hmm... Bad news... This might call for a change of plans... Because... I'm wondering if those images that Chauncey sent to Mr. Wrenly could have actually been pictures that Momma herself sent to Mr. Wrenly through Chauncey to make us believe that the river bank is actually undefended... and then we got ourselves into a trap.

Luther in chains could be the bait."

Keg
A Team:
I pitty the fool that tries to lure me into a trap... The good news is, now we know it is probably a trap, so it is no longer a trap. How did the monkey say it was guarded?
Liam
B Team:
Alright everyone... make sure all your gear is secure. Stay low, stay ready. he whispers to the others before taking the initiative to lead and beginning his slow quiet wade across the river at the falls, saying a silent prayer to the gods, requesting their favor and blessing.

Also, since you have already arrived at the river in my last update, it might already be too late to worry about such things.
