Valkrina
"Mistress, are you coming? Perhaps you could act as some kind of spirit guide?"
She shrugs, unsure of how to deal with the ghost of Kazeffron. "If we are just flies caught in a spider's web for some gods entertainment, then we should provide a few 'beau gestes' along the way. Act like bombardier flies."
She enters the short passage but does a running jump over the first square. "Always traps on the first square. Tricks and traps, start as we mean to go on." she says as she sails through the air hoping for a soft landing on the other side and that she doesn't trigger a trap placed in front of that second door.

Akhilleus
Akhilleus wasn't there at the beginning, as the rest of the group were commissioned by this Rel to come here. He doesn't understand completely what's going on, but he's forming an idea in his head by piecing the information together.
He then shrugs and brings his torch to the front in order to help Drest have a better look at whatever might be there.

Euripides Nereos
Sooo...you're saying that you're not you- well, the other you, not you you, other you is really Rel? Huh. Maybe that's why he spared me- he knew I'm a worshipper! Man, when we get back there and talk to him again, that's going to be pretty neat!
History? Yeah, no I'm not so good with stuff like that. Before coming here, I never left Port Z, so don't really know anything about anywhere else. But if we find one of these sunken treasures, I'm happy to go get it!

Re: Into The Long Wet Darkness
Spectral Information
The ghostly figure of Kazeffron just stares back at Euripides and his ramblings, barely willing to offer a reply. "Ya, I'm sure you would."
Growing exasperated, she answers Xenos a bit more willingly, but not much. "I am here, bound to this place for that exact reason, because I failed the test and wasn't worthy to explore beyond them." She appears about to say more, but stops when Akhilleus and Drest look around at the doorway again. Other than the strange indecipherable writing on the wooden door, there is nothing else remarkable about the portal.
Valkrina tells the glowing beauty that she should come along as a spirit guide, just before she makes a running leap from the room into the hallway beyond. Unfortunately, her theory about the obvious hallway trap is correct, but she gets the design backwards. The first portion of the floor appears un-trapped and solid, while the 10 foot floor section in front of the second door reveals itself as an illusion. As she leaps through the air acrobatically, the stone floor where she lands disappears, revealing a spiked pit trap in the floor instead. Valkrina plummets through this illusional floor onto the long pit spikes below, impaling her through the right thigh and the left shoulder. 7 dam
As the others look on in disbelief, the impaled bard slides down the freshly lubricated 8 foot long rusty iron spikes penetrating her body, slipping down their shafts painstakingly slowly towards the bottom of the pit.
The ghost in the room comments unapologetically, "that's the first one."

Euripides Nereos
Euripides runs to the smashed wall and grabs a chunk of rubble, dropping it into the pit with Valkrina. Hey, Val! If we throw enough rock and dirt down there, you can climb out!

"Oh, what a surprise." she says, falling to meet her doom.
Spiked. "Ow!" she whimpers.
If she can pull herself off she will otherwise wait for deliverance.

Into The Fu€king Pit!
The four strong men in the group all rush to the edge of the newly exposed pit, looking down on their skewered songstress with pity as she slides all the way down the long spikes to its dark bottom.
Testament to his intellect, Euripides grabs some rubble from the smashed wall and tosses it into the pit, doing little to raise her or her spirits.
With no aid from above, Valkrina tries to free herself, but every motion equates to pure agony. She can only move one leg and one arm at the moment. Turning her head to the side to clear the welling tears in her eyes, she spots another nearby victim in the form of a raggedy tattered skeleton with two spikes through its chest and abdomen. It doesn’t initiate introductions.

Drest
Drest examines the pit carefully.
Is there any way he could hand down and then drop the last distance with hitting a spike, hopefully without hurting himself?
If he were to drop down could he get to Val and get her free without hurting her more?
Anything in the pit he could use to get out with?
Make a ladder or climbing pole?

Akhilleus
Akhilleus will look in the room for anything they can use to get Valkrina out of there. "Damit. How is it that none of us had a rope? And if she had one, she can't move anyway."
I'm assuming no one has a pole, spear or anything of the sort either.

Xenos examines the door to see how it is constructed and whether it might be possible to remove a plank from it.

Re: Into The Long Wet Darkness
Euripides Nereos
Since nobody else seemed to like his idea of filling the pit with rubble, Euripides decides the time is coming to practice what you preach and take a different approach. We need a disciple of the watch- someone to make sure no eerie inhabitants come out of that other room while we're doing things in here, but the torch needs to be somewhere in the middle so nobody is alone in the dark. Last thing we need is to be overrun by legions of the dead. Perhaps we could try the ritual of burnt offerings to the dog faced gods to get them on our side? We'll need any help we can get through this trial by fire and not have it turn into a day of reckoning.
Moving to the edge of the pit, the purloiner of Rel goes over the wall, climbing down to their injured companion, hoping he doesn't end up falling fast. Val, I'm coming to help. I know you're feeling low, but you must return to serenity and relax. Your legacy will not be to meet death's cold embrace here among the dark roots of earth. We'll work together as one and you'll rise up so we can get on with finding our way out. Time to do or die.

Re: Into The Long Wet Darkness
I lost count!
The Pits!
Valkrina looks around at the rubble strewn pit floor, unable to reach the dead body or any of its ancient possessions.
Drest and Euripides take off their gear and slide over the edge, slowly lowering themselves between the wall and the spikes till they can drop below. The spikes are close together, making it hard to navigate the iron forest, but they eventually make there way to their fallen companion.
Faced with the choice of either lifting Valkrina up off the spikes, or cutting away a lot of flesh to release them, they opt for the former. She takes a painful jostling as they struggle to lift her evenly, nearly losing consciousness a couple times, but the duo is eventually able to lift her over head so the pair still above can reach down to pull her out. 2 dam
Once on the solid stone floor of the hallway again, the injured bard is patched up with what little supplies this tattered group still carries. Then someone notices that the door beyond the pit has opened a few inches during the excitement, revealing only silent darkness beyond.

Akhilleus AC:4 22/22 (Torch)
Valkrina AC:6 7/16 2/2
Xenos AC:5 12/12 2/2

Either through the door or through the hole in the wall. Kalamazoo said the hole in the wall is certain death, so the door can't be any worse. Well, maybe it could. But we should still go that way.
