Gerdal adds a first aid kit as well, so deduct another 25 gp from the group funds.

Looking forward to this trek! :D

So even though we won’t require the services of Vann Hector at this time, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be interested in a friendly agreement with him to sharing valuable information between our groups about any dangers (etc.) we each encountered, if he is willing. And this could certainly lead to sharing more valuable information in the future.
That is fine, the suggestions in the post should work great. I think co-operation is going to be key to 'beat the Barrowmaze' if that is a thing. Certainly shared knowledge from different expeditions may help loose ends or mysteries discovered in others.

I will roleplay in the festival thread as that happens, but if anyone has a desire to venture out and needs a cleric, available from May 10th in the calendar, then you can find Golgarth in the tavern.

Preference to explore any ruins, old chapels, Barrow Mounds. Anywhere he can use his construction skills.

First level human ranger is looking for a group to join on an expedition. He offers his tracking abilities, accuracy with the bow and Scottish accent.

Is anyone planning on leaving soon to the wilderness or the mounds?

So I have Golgarth joining Foxrell on the Sauron Mound raid. Others yet to confirm their definite commitment to that.

At the tavern, Moriartus is organising an exploration to locate a harpy lair or considering a longer expedition to the elves of the Thornswild and a defiled Silvanus Grove.

Others are listening and deciding. There is no hurry of course, this is your adventure. But when a group decision is made, I will open appropriate expedition threads.

It might be worthwhile for characters to declare interests or other options they are considering.

The Moriartus expedition is to the barrow mounds. Ostensibly in search of treasure and amphora jars for Mazzah. A secret reason is attempting to locate possible harpy lairs ...

Confirmed:
Dougal
Fydmar

Unconfirmed:
Cadeweed

NPCs:
Two-Birds (mercenary)
Barba(?)

you would need to rehire Two-Birds via the Mercenary Guild.

Barba will stay in Helix until Gomez can return to the game.

It might be Vann, Dalin, Savant & Eldon get back in town by the 9th and could go straight back out on expeditions or join others subject to being healed up if folk want to bear that in mind.

I say that as Vann speaks lizardman as his bonus language.

Very interesting to know. I will actually put a bulletin board notice up so you can contact me at the tavern if you arrive back in time and choose not to go off with that crazy priest and come with this one.

sometimes better the devil you know!

Dalin has an expedition planned but nobody else said they would join it.

Yes this is from the Wargslayer advert of Red Eric on the bulletin board.

You could add to the board to provoke interest and then gather and chat with possible recruits once you return from current expedition.

I honestly have no idea what to add I think what Red Erik already has up there is all that can really be said.

I am fine with just holding off starting the Sauron Mound expedition if it means that one or two new characters and folk nearing the end of current expeditions return to town and can be enticed to join us. Five players rather than three increases survivability.

Golgarth

I think reasonably the group saving him should be happy to repatriate him back to Helix. Even if a Cure Light Wounds was ministered to him at the church, it might take him only to minimal hp at best and then he would still need another day to pray for himself.

So I think you need to plan the expedition without him, he can of course recover and adventure back out in a few days, but I think his Sauron Secret expedition will be concluded once he safely gets back to town.

Best of luck to the rest, hope to hear your tavern songs when you return. Thank you for those who rescued me too,

We can roleplay any interaction with the church, presuming you arrive back in Helix safely.

I think though you have summed up your situation quite well and recuperating in Helix will take you a week nearly just to awake from your comatose state. So you can be walking wounded by 16th and possibly fit to venture again, subject to using Cure spells on yourself by 18th.

Golgarth returns to Helix on May 10th at -5hp, recuperates under the hand of the nurses at +1hp a day.

Coming out of his coma six days later on May 16th on +1hp, spends the day in Thanksgiving and prayer. Prays for a CLW for the next day which he uses upon himself (selfish b'stard)

Golgarth casts Cure light wounds [1d8]=6

So he is fully fit and enabled to adventure a week after his attack, on May 17th.

Great. Golgarth can make a post in the tavern thread or chapel thread dated May 17th. Probably best to wait until all current characters in town have left so we can adjust the chronology and not overlap stuff.

Probably by the time you recover, the expeditions will have returned with news, plot-hooks and more lines of exploration and adventure.
