Kainaxarthos
He implores the warriors to file into the bedchamber. "Drest, Xenos, Akhilleus. What's the issue? The danger is up ahead in that chamber."
Kain gestures to Magda. "She's right, you know. If we need to turn it, a free path of exit is needed. The path that goes right back down the tunnel."
Having said his piece, the Cleric will try to enter the chamber and go towards the bed. Looking around he focuses on the bookshelf. "The path to Underborea..."

Drest
"What is the plan if turning it fails? I am already weakened by it and was unable to harm it at all. I won't last long against it. This silver dagger is a gamble, we don't know if it will hurt it. Useful as a last ditch attempt, absolutely. If everyone else agrees and we have some sort of actual plan I am good with it, otherwise it seems madness, which I expect from Cyril as a priest of a mad god, but not everyone."

"If you aren't coming in, give the silver dagger to someone willing to fight," Sik insists gruffly.

Under The Zakath Desert
Sanctum Of The Magus
No Idea On Time Or Day
After even more flip-flopping in the narrow hallway while deciding on who should stay and who should go, most of the fighters decide they should remain where it's safe and free from any chance of combat. Drest, Xenos, Akhilleus, and Taibhse remain in the outer room while the others all slowly file into the small bedroom. Shouting down the long hallway at his fellow fighters, the anger in Sik's voice rings out clearly. He calls for the dagger.......
In the meantime, Magda, Ceana, Belloc, and Sik all enter the room, with Cyril and Kainaxarthos eventually joining them there. The Witches rat Skavi scurries around the outer walls and floor, sniffing for anything out of the ordinary. It stops at the feet of the shadow creature, also staring at the base of the bookshelf and wiggling its whiskers with interest, as if it has found something important. Magda moves towards the open book on the desk, seeing what appears to be pictographs and arcane scribblings on the pages.
As Ceana and Kain try to get a better look at all the strange items on the bookshelf, Belloc taps the head of the perfectly preserved Hyperborean laying on the bed, causing the shadow to shake its head violently again and mumble something unrecognizable under its breath. It is clearly having trouble figuring out what is currently happening as more and more people file into the room. Spotting a fascinating set of robes and a ring of keys on the body, it doesn't take long after the head tapping for the shadow monster to spin around to lurch for the Magician, just as he predicted might happen. The Hyperborean body doesn't move an inch, but the shadow is clearly bent on killing this tricksy imposter trespassing in its former masters chamber.

Sik launches a silver bullet at the shadow.
"Belloc, retreat down the hallway! We'll attack from behind!"
To hit: [1d20+1]=12+1=13, damage with sling: [1d8]=5

Belloc pivots sharply, raising his staff high as dark energy crackles around it. With a fierce swing, looking to strike at the encroaching shadow, channeling its formidable power directly into it.
"Know your place, spawn!" he roars, his voice echoing with authority.
As the staff comes down , Belloc casts Vampiric Touch. Tendrils of dark magic lash out from the staff, wrapping around the shadow as Belloc stands firm, a grim expression on his face as he tries to assert his dominance.

Akhilleus simply takes the silver dagger, nods and rushes towards the room, hearing the noises.
If there's combat going on when he arrives, he will join it.
If there's calm (the ghost has obeyed Belloc), he'll stay dy the doorway, not wanting to be one of those filling the room.

Cyril grasps at his chest, pulling out his silver holy symbol of Azathoth. "Come no closer, foul fiend! Azathoth hereby banishes you."
Cyril's charisma adds 1 to the chances to turn. This turns up to a a Type 3 undead.
Those closest to Cyril swear they hear a faint chaotic whispering in their heads that lasts a mere moment. Unsure of his success, Cyril backs toward the passageway.

Ceana
The druid is watching Skavi curiously when all hell breaks loose in the room. Her torch held high, and sword in hand, she stands near the bookcase as her companions pounce upon the shadow.

Magda and Skavi
Magda stands by the desk and waits to see what happens. Her only silver weapons are now in the hands of Sik, who can use them more skillfully than she can.
If Cyril's turning attempt fails, Magda will then speak to the shadow in the same dialect that Belloc used earlier: "Surrender to us now, minion, and perhaps you may yet be spared!"
If the turning succeeds, she simply winces knowing that the shadow's exit may bring it directly into the path of incoming party members.
To get out of the way, Skavi scuttles beneath or behind the Bookcase.

Kainaxarthos
Sighing at the turn of events, Kain unleashes his wooden holy symbol. A large vertical slit reptilian eye. "Calm yourself Shadow. Listen to me and obey my words. Stop fighting and go back to the corner."
Turn Undead: [1d12]=3 Maybe a type 4?

Maybe I got this wrong, but wasn't Belloc speaking to the ghost in another language?
Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
yes, the shadow spoke Hellenic (ancient Greek)

It was ancient Hyperborean, actually.
But that is correct, this shadow likely doesn't understand anything spoken in the common tongue.

Sik is tired of all the confusion, whirling a borrowed silver slingstone into the monster as it attacks Belloc. It contacts the shadow, doing limited but obvious damage. (unless I am missing something, a sling does 1d4 damage, not 1d8)
While Beloc wields his sickening staff, calling forth slimy black tentacles that entwine around the shadow creature, he is hit first by one flailing claw, doing no damage, but weakening the Magician is it did Drest earlier. (-1 STR and -3 staff charges) The tendrils drain health from the creature, sending the extra vigor to Belloc in a disturbingly uncomfortable manner. (+11 temporary hit points)
Both Cyril and Kainaxarthos attempt to chase the monster away with their piousness. Unsure if it even understood their commands, it doesn't appear to be effective on the thing in the least, fortunately for Akhilleus and Tabhise, who are suddenly rushing up the hallway to join the others.
Magda watches her rat scurry into a small hole behind the bookcase, allowing her to visually locate an obvious secret door outline on the wall behind the shelf. The monster only hisses back at her weak commands for it to surrender. Ceana finds the bookshelf filled with interesting items: 5 candles, a box of incense sticks, a bellows, iron tongs, 4 empty glass phials, and a rolled up page of parchment tied with a string.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Cyril is dismayed as the turning utterly fails. He looks toward Kain and says, "That does not bode well.
He then sees the sling bullet land, giving him hope that mundane weapons may be effective.
Feel free to slot this attack in the next round since Cyril already tried turning...I'm just going to be away for a few days and wanted to get this in.
Is there any way to tell if the turning did not work because the thing is not actually undead or a demonic being?

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
I noticed while looking at the turn tables that your footer has the incorrect levels for a few people.
At least both Kain and Cyril are lv3, possibly others like Ceana. Kain also has 19hp now at level 3.
Not sure if that changes the turn rolls. Also, do the undead need to understand the speech to be turned? Just asking for a clarification.
*Edit*Cross-posted with The Wanderer, not trying to pile on.
