Hi wolf,
As I posted, the lizard monster's tongue has Adrock and the lizard monster is reeling Adrock to its jaws.
Being jostled or moved while casting a spell disrupts the spell.
So, if the Monsters win initiative, the spell will be disrupted and lost.
If the Party wins initiative, Adrock will cast before the monster starts retracting its tongue this round.
Adrock would know this. So feel free to alter your post if you like. Thanks.
(Also, you posted two rounds worth of activity. Cast Spell, and cut a monster's throat. The spell description in the PHB says cutting throats takes 1 round, fyi.

)

you said
*Adrock gets two actions. The first goes before all others
so I thought that is what you meant. I also assumed casting the spell would be the first action that went before all others

Ha! You're right. That'll do it.
Sorry, forgot about that double action. Thanks.

The spell says sleeping creatures can be slain 1 per round it doesn't specify cutting throat. I would think bashing its skull in with a mace would work.
Note that sleeping creatures con be slain automatically at a rate of 1 per slayer per melee round

Hi everyone,
Please assume a weight of 5lb per week of rations for this. Please update your sheet's inventory and encumbrance accordingly. Thanks!

Hey wolf,
To prevent player knowledge from affecting PC actions, there is a system in place for puzzling out technology that is beyond the PCs' comprehension. Each minute spent experimenting/puzzling gives PCs a chance to solve it, or to fail.
As per my last DM post, in "Behind the DM Screen," I figured Adrock spent a minute already. How many minutes would he like to spend this time?
Pixie, same question for Fiefo.
Thanks.

Fiefo will casually ponder it for a minute. He doesn't believe himself capable of understanding it, so he won't try too hard.

The cynical rat-man embodies that old chestnut: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right.”

Hey wolfpack,
The last DM post covered only 2 minutes before Jack was utterly disintegrated by fire and light.
