The daughter should be a red haired human unless I missed something. Could be disguised by magic as the elf. Always possible we missed something. Seems like the message is meant for the lady of plagues most likely.

i don't think this Joy person is the doctor - maybe the receptionist. To your point, could be a ruse!

Well done Rex!!!

And it only took 12 hours and 10 minutes to solve. :D

I think we might be able to get some answers about this from Joy or the doctor, so I have initiated that process in my IC post. If we can at least see this doc, we can determine if it is really the red haired daughter Rat King person. (maybe)

Shoot. I located (and edited) all the images I want to use for this next area, but forgot to upload them to my cloud drive so I could access them from work. So, they're sitting on my personal laptop and I really don't want to go through that process all over again.

I will try to update this game again tonight. Or, worst case, early tomorrow.

Not sure what I should be rolling here for sleep so I rolled a 20 in case it was needed. My modifier is +3, spell attack is +5 and save DC is 13
A few notes here:
  • First, and I will definitely give you a chance to revise your post, but if you use your action to ready a spell, per Jeremy Crawford (the Lead Designer and Managing Editor of 5e), you spend that spell slot whether you actually cast the spell or not. So, you can risk readying your spell to target the top opening of the shaft for in the event someone attempts to climb out of it; or, you could pick a point at the bottom of the shaft and automatically cast it there on your turn.
  • As for how the actual 'Sleep' spell works, for now, just know that the only roll you need to make is the 5d8 to see how many hit points are affected. The effects are automatic; you do not need to make an attack role, and they do not get to make a saving throw.

I'll detail the spell in greater detail if/when the spell is first cast; using the situation at that time as the example.

Yes, the falling damage is the same as previous editions, with the added bonus of your ending up prone (which is an actual condition with defined rules governing it).

I didn't have any free time today at work, and tonight I will be flipping between the Bears and Cubs games, so there most likely won't be any updates until tomorrow.

Normally I don't mind if posts are late, but this last excuse seems totally unacceptable. (coming from a Packers/Brewers fan, that is)

Yesterday was a good day in sports for Chicago.

(Now if the stinking Brewers would actually lose a game or two, that'd be nice. Thanks! ;) )

ravenn4544, you get to roll a second damage die (1d8) for your critical hit.

Your total damage will be the 6 you already rolled, plus the additional 1d8.

Just want to clarify. Cunning action for Joy can dash, disengage or hide. Dodge at 5th level is a reaction and only can be used for one attacker I believe. Has she used this yet? And is she based with someone? Rolled a Natural 20 and want to clear up if I have disadvantage and/or sneak attack.

Correct.
BearSiren817 wrote:Dodge at 5th level is a reaction and only can be used for one attacker I believe. Has she used this yet?
I was confused by this. Dodge is an action, which anyone can use at any time. I realize now what you're talking about is Uncanny Dodge.

With that in mind, you did not see where Joy used Uncanny Dodge (and, frankly, can't know whether she actually has that ability (at least at this point)).
BearSiren817 wrote:And is she based with someone?
At the end of her action, she was not. Azalea (7) acts after Sandro (11), but before Garl (5). Sandro did engage in melee (to subdue), so Joy will be based when Azalea acts.
BearSiren817 wrote:Rolled a Natural 20 and want to clear up if I have disadvantage and/or sneak attack.
Yes, you will be able to gain your extra 'Sneak Attack' damage.

Also to this:

Always feel free to include any rolls that you think might even potentially be necessary. Worst case, they're not used.
