Re: B S (III)
Ok, I am back!!!
Now that almost everyone has returned to town (and on the same day) I will try to get things more organized here.
Please think about what your character would like to do next. Here are a few options:
Investigate the zombie issue.
Go back to the river trail to try to stop the slavers and save the others.
Go out to investigate the square wooden structure in the jungle.
Explore the unknown jungle to gain hex revealing XP.
Other?
I don't care who goes where, as long as we can get some missions organized and started for everyone soon.
Again, thanks for your patience.

Lacking any particular motivation at the moment for pursuing any specific mission, Eawad is likely to simply fall in with whichever group ends up being the largest.
"It is inevitable that at some point a character will fall into a pit, off a wall, or over a cliff." - OSRIC, p.119
Re: B S (III)
Maag is likely to go off to the wooden structure tomorrow. In the meantime, he's looking for something interesting to do for the rest of today. A walk up the beach? A hunting trip into the jungle? Investigating something weird around the village?
Wes is going to hang around town for a while. He just got back from the jungle, he's exhausted, and he has a big plan to begin tomorrow.

Monocar needs rest too. He needs to heal up and have a pvp duel with Luthar... which I will go on record as being all for. Maybe it turns into a big event with crowds gathering and a referee. Would be a nice moral boost for the villagers to have a show and as long as we agree it can only go so far as a knock out with no real injuries or death (since neither would be trying to kill each other) why now? Maybe Randall will give the winner free food for a week or something.

For all of the new recruits.....
I will get a list together shortly as to where everyone wants to go. Hopefully that will make this transition easier for you and for the established players as well.
As for background, and to keep things simple, lets say that all of the newcomers were just shipped in on the last boat. You have all at least seen each other and maybe even got to know each other a little bit along the journey.
Once I get some threads caught up, you can all decide where you want to go.
Thanks!

Re: B S (III)
For everyone.....
Anything written in the main game threads will be considered public knowledge. (rumors, storytelling in the tavern, fish stories, etc.) You are not only allowed, but actually encouraged to read all of the threads, but it is essentially up to you. Don't feel like you shouldn't be reading something just because your character wasn't there at the time. Private threads will be set up for all of the new players shortly. Those can (and are) used for anything that you want to keep private for your character.
Also....
Though I don't use them myself, I realize that a popular way to play in these games is to "Subscribe" to the threads so you get a notification sent to you that a recent post has been made. I personally don't like that system. It doesn't always work the best and it doesn't work at all if the DM creates a new thread that you are not getting notifications about.
I know this might seem archaic to some of you, but I actually prefer that you don't subscribe to using it.
I use the old fashioned method of searching the game lists and seeing for myself if a new post has been made. That way you will never miss out on any new information and the rest of us wont be waiting for you if you weren't notified about it.
As you may have already noticed, I like to push the action along in my games. Waiting around for players to figure out that they aren't getting notifications to a new thread isn't exactly a productive way to run a PbP game.
If you have questions about this, just ask. Thanks!

Re: B S (III)
To make this easier on all of us, I will post a list of every active player character involved in the game right now.
The thread for the spider mission is ready to go and I will update that next. If you aren't planning on going along on that, please indicate to me what you are planning to do so I can get things organized for you. Hanging around town for a while is fine by me, I just want to make sure that everyone who wants to be doing something, is. If you changed your mind about having your character go along, please let me know that as well. Thanks!
Again, I realize that the town threads are difficult to follow, but once everyone is out doing something with a group, things will flow more normally again and you will be able to discern how this all works a bit better. If you have anything to add or to ask, please do so.
Monocar: (Bluehorse) H F2 (resting) Intentions?
Saracen: (Storm) 1/2-O F2/C3 Spiders?
Storm: (Storm) 1/2-ling D1 Spiders?
Luther: (Urson) H R3 (resting) Intentions?
Lightfinger: (tkrexx) 1/2-ling T3 (resting) Intentions?
Chauncey: (ChubbyPixie) H M.U.3 (resting) Take on the Slavers
Bonnie: (Monsieur Rose) E T2 Waterfall prison
Keilif: (Hotgoblin) H C2 Waterfall prison
Alordan: (ravenn4544) H R3 (unconscious in town) (healing) Slavers, Spiders, Island?
Avalaa: (SirOwen) H M.U.3 Spiders?
Jaxsen: (SirOwen) H M1 (gathering water) Spiders?
Brother Gilbert: (SpinwardMarch) H C1 Organizing the Spider mission
Wes: (Jernau35) 1/2-E D2 (resting) Begin "The Plan"
Maag: (Jernau35) 1/2-O F/T (exploring around town) Slavers, Island, Spiders?
Eawad: (Xaxyx) H T Undecided?
Glansandi: (Xaxyx) E F Solo mission
Talaris: (Bigtaff) 1/2-E C Spiders?
Gwen: (tomlowshang) E F/MU/T (gathering water) Town stuff
Judson: (kruk) H F Spiders
Did I miss anyone?

Re: B S (III)
Gwen is dropping out of the spider adventure. She will stay in town to find other ways to help. Is the town supposed to be this bad shape? Or is that just how things played out?
