Would Berry be able to light a torch and get in on this, out of curiosity? Not that we need any more casualties...
Bill, are you game for a kill conflict? Does Thag want to be conflict captain?
I don't have the rule book handy. How does rolling for disposition work again? Is it Fighter? Can I add in my demanding nature? Can I spend a fate to reroll 6's? Are there any other tricks to throw into this?
If nature is allowed, mine is way higher than Thag's.

I don't mind being conflict captain. I'll PM you with my thoughts.
As for Disposition, our Health+Fighter are only off by one (I have5+3D you have 5+2D), but you have a Persona to use to bump up your Fighter by your Nature. I think that can be done.
I'm no where near certain, but when I failed that Scout test it was against Obs 3, which I assume is the Nature of the beast. If it's a standard beastie then it's max Dispo is probably 6 or 7. Although I do not know for sure, and we probably can't find out until we actually fight it.
PM'ing you now.

No extra light that would cost a turn, because things are already starting. A light spell or light instinct would work, though.
No Demanding nature, but I don't see why you can't use Fate to reroll sixes.
Thag can drop his pack, but it's dark, so probably Allric could pick it up, but getting out of the room might be more difficult.

Can I hand my pack to Allric then push him towards the doorway?

...he was leading the injured Allric to the door, so he has fictionally established that he's at-hand.

Reading back in the OOC comments, it appears that Berry and Alric are in the dark chapel with Rabon and I who are in full and partial light.
I'll write IC how I'm passing my pack to Allric and pushing him through the doors, and yelling at Berry to get out in the hallway and patch up Allric and Aoife if he can.
But before I do that, and it gets written into the permanent record, I need all involved to agree, and a note from Ludanto that we can do it.
I think part of our issue right now is everyone reacted IC without OOC character chatter. Not that it's a bad thing though, more "realistic".

Here's where it gets tricky. Yes, you can do those things, but you won't know what will happen to Berry and Allric until you do them. Seems like a solid plan, though.

Sounds like a maneuver within the conflict. But it is weird because Allric and Berry aren't in the conflict at all.
Disposition [1d6] = 3, [1d6] = 4. 1 success + 5(health) = 6.
Disposition help (Thag) [1d6] = 2
I was really thinking I could tap my Nature because of the demanding nature of his action (Give us the Treasure!). Or at least use his Devil May Care trait. Oh well. Here comes death...
Rabon is the Conflict Captain because it was his action that put us here. We'll split the Disposition evenly (3 and 3), unless something changes, in which case Thag will take the extra points.
Turn order will be Rabon -> Thag -> Rabon -> Thag -> Rabon, etc, until one or both of us is out of HP, as it were.
Thag has 1 Persona that can add +1D to any test, a sword and Fighter 3. And possibly a trait.
Rabon has 3 Persona, Fighter 2, 2 traits, and the axe. What should I know about Skyfall going into this, out of curiosity?
Eidt: Because Rabon jumped out with the axe to thwart an attack on Thag, I've decided to go first.

Ludanto, please let us know the creatures weapons and any other pertinent info, and when you've decided your moves. Then we'll discuss here and start up.
Thanks!

Correct. If we're left out of the disposition (which we are) we cannot be subject to the consequences or actions resulting from the conflict. I don't think you can use us as a basis for Maneuver - we can't be "left behind" as a compromise or otherwise suffer from your Fight results.
He is free to fuck us over separately in the hallway, though, with a different challenge.

Unfortunately I used my Persona point to try to pass the Scout test. I also used my Grim-Visaged trait. I do have Early Riser though. And 3 Fate points.

Is Allric able to cast the Fireflies in his injured state?

He memorized Mystic Porter. I don't think he can switch?

No problem, we'll go without it.

Sorry, got pulled away on a shopping trip.
Actually, I don't think that you can use Fate and Persona or Traits on Disposition, since it's not really a "test". But that doesn't matter now.
Also, it doesn't look like the GM has to announce weapons, but I will.
Moves locked in, and they'll be using their tentacles as weapons.

What about its Might? As it will effect our results.

For the record, this is a conflict against all these stony octopi, correct? Not against just the one.

Yes, against both of them. Which, now that I think about it, makes them Disposition 7.
But at least they're only OoM 2.

That's good to hear, we'll have a guaranteed +1s each round.
