Thanks for the XP!

The game has been tremendous fun, so far, and I'm eager to see what comes next. Thanks for keeping up such a steady pace during the summer!

Yaaaaa!

Only 5 more missions like that and Trav will advance to 2nd level! :D

But seriously, I agree with Pulp. Great game so far and a nice brisk summer pace compared to most of my other games.

Thanks, guys. I'm looking forward to more. Of course you realize that reaching 2nd level will bring with it 2nd level responsibilities, such as a required 3 posts/day, surprise sudden death matches, and an ongoing "Guess that Taste" tournament that I will be mailing out soon to add to the game immersion.

Let's just say that if it arrives in the mail and the packaging is wet: open it immediately before the taste turns too much! I speak from experience.

Having a great time! Very much enjoying the exploration of this region. Pace is almost a little quick for me, but it's not so bad that I can't catch up.

Actually, I'm considering dropping one of the other games I'm in > not yours Rob! ;)
I always over extend myself and have to retract.

But yeah > what's next fellers? I'd like to go back to the abandoned fort and clean it out > whatever killed Barnaby in there needs to be taken care of.
Winter is coming...

Yeah, I like a quick pace (by PbF standards) but I don't want to leave anyone behind. My technique so far has been to try and post responses as I hear from people to keep things moving, but in a way that doesn't leave out those who have not responded yet. If there is something I can do different or better then please let me know. I am still considering how I can best accommodate all of us because I want all of you to stay.

And I am learning that I can be more helpful with more regular (and comprehensive) summarizing posts to clarify the scene and current status.

I agree! This is a great approach to PbP that I think I will adopt myself.

Thanks, Coil.

That style does work nice with PbP. I try to implement it into my games as well.

A DM can never be too clear. :)

I agree. I vote for this as our next course of action.

The thing was also in the woods. Are there possibly more than one of them?

Salt Peter is a mercenary little pipsqueak. He felt no bond with Barnaby, and was never fully convinced that the gnome was on our side. The main thing that would draw him back to the ruin is if the book he snagged turned out to be very valuable. Then he'd want to go back for more. BUT. Salt Peter doesn't plan on trying to pawn the book off in a backwater outpost. He'd rather make for a big city, and try to turn the gold box, opal, and book, into as much money as he can. Ad then drink that money. And then look for the next most immediate payday.

Did I mention that Salt Peter has a really low Wisdom score? He make poor life choices, and you probably shouldn't consult him about our next move.

Hey guys,

I'm leaving for vacation in the morning. I'll be back next Saturday (the 16th), and I'm not sure if I'll be able to post. If I'm slowing things down, please NPC my character.

Thanks!

The body of Barnaby Calcutta, the gnome, was brought back with you to the outpost. Let me know what you did about this (what you did with the body, what you reported about him).
