9. Five Months Later
Re: 9. Five Months Later
Castan's stones (that's never not going to sound bad) have magic mouth cast on them. All they do is sound an alarm. The glyph cast on the door was deactivated by Castran opening the door.
Re: 9. Five Months Later
Scarlett will run to the top of the stairs, kicking herself for letting the ward be exposed and not ignite. "Fools rush in where angles fear to tread" she mumbles, quoting a Samaric text " fools put their hand through the hedge to be bitten by the viper". Still her faith is strong and righteous anger arises, Scarlett raising her Samaric holy symbol she will walk down the stairs and press ahead with a turning of the zombies.
"Get back foul spawn of hell, in the glorious name of Samar, may her divine light cleanse your souls. Thou shalt not pass"
Scarlett is a 7th level priest of Samar. She has faith that her divine blessings will indeed turn these creatures, possible destroying them. just in case of extra undead bonus....d20 turn roll = 5

Date: Trieluna 13, 1222
Time: 2:14 AM - Combat Round 1
Weather: Fog
Location: Bragar and Castran's Hideout, Barovia
**************************************
Zombie Agrippo moves awfully fast for a zombie. It strikes out with a spear at Castran, but the nimble gnome easily evades the clumsy blow. Castran, Bragar, and Lar form a perimeter just inside the main hall, allowing them to partly surround the zombie and giving them the benefit of numbers. All three strike out at what used to be Agrippo, all three hit. Both of Agrippo's arms and a leg fall off but keep moving on their own.
Shinyah and Petyr form a second rank behind the front three, each attacking with spears. Shinyah's spear pokes ex-Agrippo for small damage that does not sever a body part. But the combined force of the attacks is great; the zombie barely clings to unlife. Petyr, however, misjudges the combat in front of him and spears Bragar instead of the zombie! (Critical miss, Bragar: -7 HP)
Gragog heads through the kitchen to check the kitchen door. He sees and hears nothing so far. Scarlett runs to the top of the stairs and brandishes her holy symbol at Agrippo. Either the zombie does not see her or her faith is not strong enough: it seems unaffected. Agax remains upstairs, trying to get some rest.

Re: 9. Five Months Later
Gragog continues to cover the door by the kitchen as he was asked to do. Waiting for an opportunity to throw his spear or help engage in melee.

Re: 9. Five Months Later
Castran continues to attack the many parts of poor Agrippo the barely held together zombie Can you roll his attacks please, I keep trying to and it isn't working, keeps rolling 0 and I have been at it for quarter of an hour. I dunno what am doing wrong or whether it's just bugged out.

Re: 9. Five Months Later
I've been having the same trouble. Dice roller's borked at the moment. Feel free to post the rolls later if I haven't updated first, otherwise I'll roll for Castran.

Re: 9. Five Months Later
Scarlett is awake and attempting to turn the zombies from the foot of the stairs. If the zombies turn she will hold her holy silver snake symbol aloft and try to force them back out into the street.
Re: 9. Five Months Later
"Scarlett just stay put so they don't break from being turned. If they can't flee they will resist your turn. Wait to see if they begin moving back first. Gragog if the kitchen is fine come supprt Castran or fill in a second rank to use your spear but be ready in case something comes through that kitchen", asks Lar?

Re: 9. Five Months Later
Scarlett undaunted by the intruders steadies her faith and her arm, holy Samaric symbol rising on her wrist like a cobra poised to strike. Calling forth divine favour to turn these animates she faces down the huge bearded zombie, faintly familiar sigils carved in his embossed shield flood through her mind. She voices a command to flee but sensing the fragility of her faith she will switch a 'Protection from evil' spell.
"Loose the bears, they can drive these out into the streets", Scarlett will call to the druid. If she can exit the melee she will go to check out the bedrooms and make sure nothing is coming in through windows or down the chimney.

Re: 9. Five Months Later
Scarlett isn't currently in the melee. The bears can't get at the zombies at the moment; too many people in the way.

Weather: Fog
Location: Bragar and Castran's Hideout, Barovia
**************************************
Lar finishes off the staggering zombie Agrippo. The creature that used to be the druid Robert steps over the warrior's body, once again inert, and takes up the attack. Castran and Bragar each score solid hits that knock loose arms. Shinyah, Gragog, and Petyr all try to stab Zombie Robert with their spears, but they are unable to find openings in the front line of battle. Scarlett calls for divine favor to protect her from evil, then heads upstairs to see if any zombies are trying to climb through second-story windows or sneak down a chimney.
As zRobert tries and fails to bite Castran, one of its detached arms scratches the gnome's leg (Castran: Phantom Armor -1 HP). The zombie's other arm reaches feebly at Bragar.
