Whoops! Sometimes I forget my character is only a junior. I guess he has the rest of the junior year and his senior to look foward to :) That should allow plenty of gametime if we pace ourselves.

Hehe, not sure what I would be picking. Guess I will know when the time comes. ;)

Always cool.

BTW I'm thinking Summer may eventually take the "Final Showdown" move from the Chosen skin and try to kill the Emissary, once she finds out there is such a thing. Just so you know.
I was thinking the same thing actually for Seth, you will most likely be getting their first of course but yeah, I thought it would be cool for a final showdown of Seth in his wolf form against the angel/demon emissary

Either both killing each other or Seth killing her whenever that may happen.

Just because. I like listening to music that sets a certain theme to games like these. Infernals, angels, dark pacts and losing of one's way in this world....

Will be off the computer for 7 or so hours. Will fit in at least one post before leaving for work tonight.

Four days. Actually.

If you're going to take Final Showdown for Seth, I'll take something else for Summer. That move actually gets weaker if doubled up. And I have to admit, at least at this point in the story, Seth is primed for it in a way Summer isn't.

General-purpose Monsterhearty music (search YouTube for it yourself if you care): Amanda Palmer's "Want It Back," Taylor Swift's "Blank Space."

Yeah, I know, Taylor Swift. But the lyrics fit.

See, I knew no time had passed at all.

Alright, I'll get Final Showdown for Seth. I agree with you that he is more built for the whole showdown thing than Summer is.

Remember, Final Showdown depends on getting Strings on your enemy. So think about how you're going to face the Emissary and get Strings on her. When I was considering it for Summer, I was thinking a series of Gaze into the Abyss/Turn On comboes; that might not be the most appropriate for Seth, though—Gaze/Primal Dominance?

Primal Dominance was what I was initially thinking of, I haven't used dark at all so there's something I could try...

Yeah, you can Gaze into the Abyss to put yourself face-to-face with the Emissary, then try to get Strings on her by beating her up and/or turning her on, not that either will end well for you. Once you get 4 Strings on her, though, it's so long, been good to know ya.

(If I were the MC, though, I'd make you Run Away psychically to escape the Emissary's presence once you've summoned her into your head…)

I haven't defined her powers yet, so maybe the Emissary doesn't need to only be in your head after seeking her out in the Abyss?

I really should see if anyone else wants to join. Maybe we'll get the Chosen that way if you don't really want that move.

At least in face-to-face, the game crashes if you have more than about 4 players. Having more than that is good for forum play, but only because of attrition—you want to get down to 3-4 for the long run.

Well, that was fast.

Welcome Mister-Kent!

There's a lot of stuff already... How about this, for our new Chosen.
- Describe your experience with Apocalypse World games.
- Describe your interest in supernatural and teenage drama (Buffy, Twilight, etc)

Hello all!

I have zero experience with Apocalypse World. Buffy, however, is my jam, and assorted urban fantasies are also my cup of tea, so I'm very familiar with those tropes and stylistics. :) (I made an angsty urban fantasy webomic once starring young adults instead of teens--I'm currently in the process of rebooting it!)

Nice! always good to have a new player.

For your convenience here are all of the non unseen servant info you will need.

Werewolf Sheet - Me!
Infernal Sheet - Rukellian
Hollow Sheet - Metal Fatigue
Cheat Sheet - Great source of information on the different actions and other elements of the game when making moves

You'd be surprised how often you use these references, I would recommend saving these as favorites or something too. Before I did I had to always hunt through the different threads for them. The character sheets are open for editing but I must stress that you only update your own, for obvious reasons :D

Yeah, I'll set up an editable Chosen character sheet when I'm on my chromebook tonight.

I'll put more comments in the Chosen OOC thread. I'd like the group to chime in about stuff there...

People around here seem to be pretty shy of handing out IM addresses (or is it just this game?), but I get bored easily and like to chat about gaming, so ask and ye shall receive.
