Fendt looks upset a bit "Ahem. Do you forget I am more than just a mage. I primarily am a fighter you know. Have I not shown a strong arm with my mace or do I need to show my skills with a sword next?" said with humor and a bit of sarcasm topped with a small bit of half elven charm. "I took too fighting to prove myself. I took to magic arts to show off to the ladies after all." he says with a wink.

Bragar- Yes we should find a secure area and rest and heal ourselves. What are we arguing about who has the prettier sword? Bragar chuckles a little

Robert says, "Um we just killed these spiders. Lets secure this room. Search it out as I have mentioned and use it as a secure location. We can drag the dead body and creatures out and burn them so they can't be used against us. If there are no other ways out of this room we have a secure resting place to fortify and defends to some degree and use to heal and recuperate. Let's get this done." Robert props Iluq up, The poison will wear off in time friend. These three are proof. Robert looks at the three. How did the poison last in your system?

Robert continues to clean the webs and search for secret doors or other exits from the room and treasure.

While searching he says, "Perhaps some part of the spider is edible and we can use that to boost our rations. We can cook it and burn the rest. We can rest up and once strong enough start searching this castle out properly."

Bragar-I never heard of anything on a spider being edible. But what do I know. He starts looking around the room for anything to block the entrance into the room.

Fendt will help in securing the secret room and drag dead bodies out as needed. "I'll pass on eating spiders. If need be I'll go back to eating rat as Strahd's soldiers fed to me when I was captive."

Robert says,"Let's just burn the spiders then if you want to say a prayer for your lost friend there nows the time. If it's late, "I think we will have more success hunting strahd and exploring in the daylight hours so we should set up guards for the night. Heal those members that are injured and rest to recover spell for tomorrow morning exploration of this castle."

Melampus

No, no, giant spiders are the lobsters of the land. They are tasty and healthful. We should eat them, just as they dined on us these long days. We certainly would use the protein and rest.

Tib grows weary of the decision making and goes along with the newcomers suggestions.

Its not like I can take off on my own in here so I agree to what you all think is right. The sooner we find this Strahd demon and end his miserable existence, the sooner we get out of here.

Fendt "You know the real thing that I think is plaguing most of us or is at least in the back of our minds is something none of us dared to say. We all know we have to destroy Strahd to end all of this. But do any of us really know how to kill a vampire?" sincere look and all you know he is serious, even a bit worried as he speaks the unspeakable.

Holing up in the castle of a creature of darkness during the hours of night doesn't seem particularly wise. But we do need rest. We had best keep vigilant watch indeed.

Castran will begin clearing the bodies of the spiders and making space, checking the place for secret doors and such like and seeing of the walls and floors are safe. He will place one of his magic mouth rocks upon the ground near the door and explain its trigger quietly to the others, asking them to avoid it.

Once the place is more homely he will ask if there is any who have a healing spell left to give. Then he will suggest they take turns at watch by twos, one of each group of possible, and either settle in to sleep and replenish his spells or begin watch with someone.

Robert says, "I am not sure exactly how to kill Strahd but I'm sure it must be possible. Once we secure this place and we are decided we will rest here I have a little healing magic to share. I will cast my strongest healing magic on Iluq and then cast 2 minor healing spells on 2 separate individuals. It seems we will dine on the spiders after all. We can roast up the spider meats and save what we don't eat as cooked meat for rations. I would suggest we use them over the next two days to enjoy them at their freshest. We can divide out the meat evenly if possible to bolster our supplies until we find more. Did any of you see any larger spiders or creatures of any sort in here while you fought in here? Robert tosses anyone going higher into the webs above them a new torch after he lights it with his old one."

I have removed 2 torches and my standard ration from my inventory.

Date: Nouluna 5, 1221
Time: 10:00 PM
Weather: Rain
Moon: Full
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Beyond the Fireplace
**************************************

While you wait for Iluq to recuperate, you fortify the room, make plans to rest, discuss the merits of spider meat as a foodstuff, and search for secret doors. It takes a while, but Robert finally notices a secret door in the north wall of the bell tower!

Not long after Robert finds the secret door, the Sunsword flares. Castran's magic mouth shouts an alarm. Looking down the hall, you see several of Strahd's zombies approaching. They are already midway through the hall to the west!
Please let me know who will be positioned where.

Robert would be near the secret door area. Spotting the zombies or hearing them he says, "To Arms!!!" He will cast Farie fire on the leading zombie, then draws his scimitar and readies his shield.
