“Aw, bloody hell!” mutters John. He looks around for something to wedge the wheels of the dumpsters (crushed aluminum cans should suffice).

If he can find something, John will move a dumpster into position, block the wheels and then attempt to climb onto the roof. Before he attempts the climb, he will try and determine if he has enough time before the “woods zombies” reach his location.
The things have just started to notice you. You figure you have time. They are pretty slow. But if you fall and get hurt.....it could go bad.

The dumpsters do not have wheels at all. They are pretty heavy, but can be pushed. Not much trash in them now.

Chingy
Front entrance

Chingy runs through the diner to the front entryway. He pulls the video games away from the wall and tries to position them in front of the opening between the actual building and the glass foyer.

No point in trying to cover all the glass walls! We just need to block thier only chance of gettin in!

He bulls the vids into the doorway between the foyer and the diner. If there are loose booths or tables he will push them in front of the doorway and stack things if necessary to maintain the best deterrent possible.

Whitey-Biker
Inside diner

Whitey locks front door then flips a arcade machine behind it. . Then if possible, starts ripping tables off the wall to cover windows. Everyone out here and covering windows and the doors! One of you make sure the back door is locked! After tables are he puts arcade machines behind them. Is there anything in kitchen we can push out here to help secure the windows?

Chance, just inside the back door of the diner

Chance turns to the camera man fussing with the dumpster. "Hey, what if those things can climb? You'll be trapped up there! We've got to lock up. I don't know what those things are capable of. I'm going in to lock up in a few seconds. Give three loud bangs on the door, quickly, if you need in!"

Chance returns to the diner, running to the front. With the light returning to the sky, he looks out into the lot to determine if his car is OK to drive. After determining this as quickly as possible, he runs to the back again, peeks out the door to see if the camera man is returning. If not (or if he's already in there), Chance locks the back door.

Dean EMT

Syrus Redneck

Dean & Syrus go into the kitchen. They come back with large kitchen knives. They then both help blocking the doors and putting loose tables against the windows.

Syrus
My truck got a rifle in it, if we can get to it. Doesn't look fit to drive though. Maybe we could get out to the mountains or something, away from the city.

Dean
I don't know if we should stay here. The medical facility a few miles from here has a chopper, if we could find someone to fly it.

Inside the diner

Derek will help position tables and heavy objects in front of the windows. Does anyone think we should try to get out of here? Maybe find somewhere a little more defensable?

Monday 630am a light rain begins to fall. Dawn breaks, revealing at least a dozen creatures that you can see out front. Possibly more out back or on the sides, that you cant see. One has reached the front door and pounds on the glass, leaving bloody hand prints.

John thinks he might be able to get on the roof, but with the possible rain, flimsy roof and those creatures moving closer- he decides to go inside before he is locked out all alone.

The front door is barricaded pretty well with video machines, tables & chairs. The windows are about 4 feet up, chest level from the outside. You put tables in front as best you can, but they aren't secured in place. But its the best you can do.

Steve tries the television, but you get nothing but static, an Emergency Signal with an annoying beep, and some reruns. The radio isn't working much better. Static, a few recorded songs, some screaming and nonsense, and not much else.
Cell is out too.

Whitey looks through the break room for Barbs purse or at least her keys. He comes up empty.

Chance sees that his car looks like it avoided most of the damage. A few dents and dings, but should still run. You wont know for sure until you try though, and you only have half a tank of gas. Your car, Barbs Toyota, and the three motorcycles look like the only vehicles in decent condition.

Norm the busboy is still hiding in the Food Storage room.

Flo the waitress sits at the counter and smokes, crying.

Mel the diner owner is in his office.

Tiny the biker cleans up his hand in the kitchen sink and wraps it up with a torn shirt from his bag.

The back door and fire exit are metal and open towards the outside, so seem pretty secure.

You talk about what you remember seeing in the area, along with some input from the locals and work on a rough map of the surrounding area.
(map up soon)

Tiny the biker
Tiny sits down and drinks a beer. He looks tired.
I feel like shit and my hand hurts. Man, maybe I should see a Doctor.

Mel the diner owner
Mel comes out of his office and looks out the window. He see the creatures and runs back into the kitchen. He grabs some cans and bottles and puts them in his office.

Norm the busboy
Norm looks out from the storage room as Mel grabs supplies.

7am Rain starts to get a bit heavier and the fires die down and go out. More creatures gather. More pound on the walls and glass. You hear a creepy moaning sound.

Diner

Does everyone have a weapon of some sort? We will not be able to stay in here long. Flo, Mel did your vehicles make it thru the crash? Tiny's and my Bike have very little gas in them. And they offer little protection.

Chance, in the front area, lifts his mop handle slightly in response to Whitey's question. "I should probably grab a knife, too, from the kitchen.

I agree we should leave, but I'll bet the roads are crowded. Cars may not be the best mode of travel. Flo, can you think of a safe building around here that could be secure...like with few windows. Also, do you know where the nearest military base is?"

He then looks nervous as he changes the subject. "Tiny, is it? I see that bite on your hand. I...I...I don't know how to say this, but the radio report said that you'll turn into one of them. I...don't think you can come with us."

Chingy the Biker
Diner

Chingy exits the mens room with a glazed look in his eyes, blowing out an acrid smoke cloud that smells of burnt chemicals. He hears the last few words that Chance is telling Tiny and gets right up in the smaller mans face.

Whats that bullshit? He aint no frickin zombie man! He looks at Tiny again and can see that he's not doing too well. This only makes him more mad. Whats yer problem you little fuck? Who died and made you the king around here? You got some balls thinking youre gonna tell US what were gonna do you little puke!

Chingy has a violent look on his face but it seems to be somewhat betrayed by his concern for his new friend and what's going on outside.

Derek heads into the kitchen to get a knife or some other weapon. If he gets an opportunity to speak with Chance, John, Tucker, Steve, Dean or Syrus in private, he will tell them I don't really trust the bikers. If one is bit and is going to turn into one of those things, we need to keep a very close eye on him. Unfortunately, if we do anything to him the other bikers are going to come after us. They have to see there is something wrong with him.

Chance flinches as Chingy moves aggressively towards him, but he quickly regains composure, having plenty of experience being threatened by those larger than him. "I'm not trying to be king of anything. There can be more than one 'us.' I'm sorry about your friend, but some of us saw what happened to the waitress out back. She's one of 'em now. You can stick with your friend, but if you do there's no way in hell I'm going anywhere with you."

He backs up a couple of steps, gripping his makeshift staff.
