Chpt. 2 Kobold Prisoners & Prisoners of Kobolds
Re: Chpt. 2 Kobold Prisoners & Prisoners of Kobolds
The kobold that is doing the speaking looks over at Biblo when asked about his master and secret doors. It doesn't hesitate even a moment to answer him, but his voice is wavering as he quivers with fear. "We had a chief, but the goblins sneaked out and killed him. We only have two leaders and four main guards now." He points back to the dark room behind him. "We killed their chiefs too and have them locked up behind door in there. There are secret doors. You came through one." He points to the secret door that the party has just entered through. "There is a secret door in the room beside our supply room and another further north past big spider lairs. You go north and keep going past lairs and you find a room with statues of our gods. Keep going past that room and you find the last hallway to north with a door in the west side. Go through door and keep going west. There is a another door to left side of hall going west that leads nowhere, so keep to right. All rooms are empty, but way west, far, is secret door when it looks like you reach a dead end. Lever behind torch on stone wall. Used to be great wizard's room. This is what we learned from the goblins. They kill great wizard long, long ago with poisons. He worshiped same gods we do. Statue gods were his."
The kobolds look at the entire party while shaking, their eyes wide with fear. "You let us go, yes?"

Llewellyn steps forward and indicates the mossy wall. "We will release you soon," he says. "But first, step against this wall and take a handful of moss, if you please."
Re: Chpt. 2 Kobold Prisoners & Prisoners of Kobolds
When Llewellyn's request is translated, the kobolds look at each other with a look that says these people must be crazy. The kobold that spoke up raises a brow, then walks over to the moss and tears out a handful. For good measure, he sniffs it and holds it out to Llewellyn. "You want moss?" He asks dubiously.

Adel focuses on the moss. It's tough to tell if he's ignoring the questions or has a keen interest in botany.Zhym wrote:Llewellyn DeNonce, Attorney-Assassin
Llewellyn's ears pick up at the mention of an accident. "What sort of accident was this?" he asks. "Was it on your property or someone else's? Was it a workplace injury? How long ago was it?"
"By the way," he tosses off as an afterthought, "does anyone think that moss might hide a secret room or passage?"

Sammy the Barbarian
Sammy looks at them with a degree of disgust. Not because they are kobolds, but because they are begging for their lives.
"Tie their legs so they can only shuffle their feet. And tie them together. They can carry loot. I will lead, put them in the middle. Mayhap we can find another use for them later."
Sammy moves to the door. "Shall we see how much fight these Goblins have left in them?"

Llewellyn remains fascinated by the moss. Taking one of the dead kobolds' weapons, he scrapes the moss off the wall to see what's behind it.

The tips of Adel's ears turn red. "We accepted their surrender, and they provided us with valuable information, if true. Continue to use them as trap bait by all means, but if we kill them we are as depraved and low as they are. When we are ready to return to town, we need to take them with us to face justice. Besides, we'll also show the townsfolk that we've dealt with their problem, which will put us in their good graces."

Trendt "At the very least we might have fodder if needed." Trendt then moves back to the party "Alright so are we off to the goblins or to get the rest of these kobolds companions?"

Adel nods at Biblo, next to him in the formation. "Let's finish off the kobolds first." He looks at the two captives - "although I don't advocate murdering these dogmen, I don't trust them either. Before venturing forth, we should gag them so they can't alert others to our presence."Grognardsw wrote:Biblo, arcanist

Knowing there's plenty of fabric waiting in the cart outside, Adel cuts two long swatches from his emerald robe and ties the kobolds' snouts shut. "Biblo, tell them if they make any noise their innards will meet my spear."
