You are more than welcome to bow out. I won't hold it against you. Not everyone likes every rpg rule set. I completely understand your hesitation. Just let me know and I will open my LFP for another player.

I've already played this game previously, it isn't really like that at all. Each thing is designed to be easier to understand, common sense wise. If it isn't stated in the core rules then you don't need to worry about it coming up.

For example, on AC, wouldn't it make more sense for someone to have more armor count if they had... MORE armor? everything that is in the core rules is pretty much based off of that philosophy, just what is easier to understand as a player, all formulas are given in the core rules PDF as well ;)

Gameplay it isn't really that difficult, at least from my perspective. He is true to his word when he first posted this game, he wants to role play and have fun. You want to do something crazy? He'll make you roll the necessary stat to make it happen and if you succeed then you succeed. there is very little limitation, if you think your character can physically (fantasy terms speaking) do it, then try it.

Get out of the habit of thinking this game is 1e, 2e, 3e, 5e. It isn't, it's blender of everything and only the good stuff was kept. If it helps everyone further, think of this as a completely different game engine, just really similar to D&D. :D

Perspective exactly and I have been taught to think of lower the number that harder to hit like a smaller target not the larger the harder. The way i always see it is it is a lot harder to hit a flee than it is to hit a giant.

Then let me reiterate, think of this like a different system from D&D. it's very similar but it's going to have things that are different.

no initiative for me I'm holding back and trying to see if these men are fighting illusions. or hallucinations.

I want to take a moment to discuss how I like to run combat. I like to have all members, friend and foe, post actions all at once. Try to think in terms of what you want your character to do, or rather what they will attempt to do. If they attack then roll your initiative/attack/damage roll. If you are going to perform a specific action that requires a DC check then roll initiative and DC check(s) adding the appropriate modifiers. (use the (s) because there may be times when you want to perform a series of acts/stunts that may require multiple DC checks. If you are unsure what to roll or how to format what you want to do just send me a PM, I’ll be happy to assist. And by all means, try to think outside of the damn box (pardon my french). Forget what you know about traditional D&D actions: I attack, I cast a spell, etc. You can do much more than that if you want to. If you want to discuss that some more, or are unclear what I mean, either reply or send me a PM. I'm always happy to blab my fool head off.

Once all actions are posted for each character and creature I will post the Round Summary and ask for actions if combat is still active. Keep in mind that even though you post an attack and damage, something may happen before your character completes his action, in order of initiative, that will negate or enhance his action.

Yeah, but there are lots of them and we are Level Zero! Still, my Lizard Man doesn't really run very fast, so likely he will have to stay and fight. Good thing about being a Lizard Man - I can carry my belongings with both hands and still strike with my bite attack!

Antman,

I see that Round 2 is posted. I wanted to know if you ruled for Zirus to stay or run. I also did not see actions of the other players mentioned in the Round 2 post. (You know, we post what we are trying to do, but you will let us know if we succeed or not).

Buckley, glad you are back with us!
