If you want to go with a barbarian, I'm happy to run a cleric.

I just rolled up an Elven Archer. May I get the campaign ID number please? Got decent stats and very nice HP rolls. Going mostly ranged, I'm HOPING not to tax the clerics too much (ha! we'll see). Combined with a Barb and a Cleric I think the 3 of us will fill out the party nicely.

Neither Half-Orc nor Barbarian are part of the LL-AEC rules. If you are taking your info from Barrel Rider Games supplements, that's fine. If not, please let me know where you are drawing it from.

As above, though I do believe you are as your XP is correct for the level.

What are we using for starting gold and equipment? Rolling random gold per LL?

Yes, random roll per LL

From the house rules post:
Splint Mail 75 gp 15 20 lb.
Is that 20lb weight a typo?

Yes, I'm pulling the info from the Barrel Rider Archer you mentioned. Was thinking to play a Ranger until you said their abilities won't much get used in this adventure so went with the Archer. I was lucky enough to already own several of the Barrel Rider classes. I just have to figure out my encumbrance and write a backstory but I think I'm good to go.

Can you confirm that campaign ID? When I put in 176, I'm getting a cortex game with no players. Maybe I"m doing something wrong? I'm still pretty green here.

Yeah. That 20 lbs is supposed to be Studded Leather. The correct weight is 45 lbs for Splint Mail.

No, that's me trying to do too much at once. The correct number is 172.

The house rules say that age (P23) is in effect. Does that mean we roll a random age based on character class, and use the ability adjustments due to age?

You can roll randomly or you can choose your age. Then modify your attributes accordingly.

Does strength affect encumbrance limits at all?

Not according to the core rules however I have a hard time believing that a person with a 9 STR can carry the same amount as a person with a 17 STR. What I do is use the table located on page 44 of the Labyrinth Lord book. A person with a STR 12 or 13 can carry 10 lbs free, 14 or 15 carry 20 lbs free, 16 can carry an additional 35 lbs free, 17 can carry 50 lbs, and an 18 STR can carry an additional 75 lbs free. I will modify the house rules appropriately to include that info.

ybn1197, LL AEC specifies 3d8x10 GP. Rather than roll randomly, I just outfitted Peaches (and Claude) with some basic adventuring gear. I figured she would have a little bit (10 GP, some change) left over afterwards, regardless of what she started with.

I can redo this if you like with a roll.

Also, I didn't do her age modifications. I figure Peaches is in her mid-forties, but tells everyone she's 29. So I'll adjust her stats for Middle Age.

Sorry for the confusion.

Really hate to do this, but RL just handed me a plate of crazy thats going to limit my game time.

I'm going to have to back away from the Barrowmaze, as sad as that makes me!

Sorry I can't play along. Perhaps later if you need someone again.

Cheers!

Sorry to hear that Zorro but I certainly understand. Having gamed with you in the Black Druid game, I was looking forward to your character. You are welcome back at any time.
