bah, this is like me forgetting my character didn't have 10000 gold but saying that Flynn pays for that +3 rapier. The CHARACTER knows he doesn't have 10000 gold but the idiot player forgot he spent it on loose women and whiskey.

I recruited a young soldier for our fight. And I suppose you met the young healer. Both are out of my pocket, as I feel the need for them is great. How did you folks come about in your day?
Flynn nods to Whitsell "Our numbers grow. This young man and his...sister will join our cleansing as well!"
Whitsell smiles.
That makes seven plus the guards, which I believe one said was a handful or more. Hopefully that is enough, no? Shall we recruit more, or begin?

"I wouldn't mind having another who's familiar with mechanical devices... " Flynn sighs.
"But I suppose that's the type we mean to avoid. "

Gustov, fighter/thief

Gustov raises his eyebrow at Flynn's thought of a need for another locksmith.
"I've enough knives and a good night's rest, what else do we need?"

"Two pair of keen eyes would put me more at ease, but if you are confident in ability... then we are prepared I believe. "

"Aye, it seems we are ready to put thoughts to action now," says Deceidon. "Let us keep in mind, if we engage the bandits en-force in their camp, our goal is to slip out and get into the mountain under the distraction of the fighting men."

"Let us leave at dawn on the morrow then," declares Deceidon. He looks about for their hired healer, as he doesn't feel in fullest health and hopes that with her salves he can recover fully with a full night sleep.
Deceidon is 6 short of full, so hopefully the healer and sleep can get something back with the extra night sleep.

One last question before I move things along. Will the group be using the tunnel system once more, or decide to traverse through the forest to attack the bandit camp head on? A 50-50 approach? I know both ideas were mentioned, but the only thing that was really agreed upon was the readiness of the group, unless I overlooked a post somewhere...

*****

Deceidon heads out to towna again asking for where the healer may be found. Someone points you towards Amberlyn's house, just on the edge of town near the forest.

Upon arriving at the door, he knocks and waits for a reply. The door opens only slightly, Amberlyn peering through the crack, half expecting a certain someone to show up, and then relaxes a bit when she notices its just Deceidon. She greets him with a smile and asks if her services will be needed.

"Good evening Amberlyn, I was hoping you may have healing salves that would speed my recovery overnight," requests Deceidon.

I could go either way on tunnel or ground, whatever the party votes.

She nods her head with a smile and closes the door. After a few moments of scrounging around, she returns with a large satchel on her side and some salves in which she hands to Deceidon. "Rumors been going around that you and your friends are recruiting people to take out the bandits. I think my healing services will best used if I join you all. I don't want to see Fly- I mean everyone get hurt too badly!" She catches herself midway with a bit of embarassment as she almost spoke her thoughts out loud.

She follows Deceidon back to the inn and helps anyone who needs it, recover over night.

I thought Whitsell paid her to follow around for a week. Was that just a "right to negotiate" fee like mlb teams have to do to sign Japanese players? :D

Oh, and Whitsell doesn't care which way they go as long as there are no troglodyte tracks anywhere...
?

 right.... we've seen enough troglodytes to last us a lifetime of adventuring I think

She wasn't really told of the group's plan to raid the bandit camp at first, only that they needed her healing services. This is her taking the initiative to tag along, after having just found out about the plans through rumors. She doesn't need any more payment, don't worry!

On the walk back Deceidon asks just from whom she heard the rumors. He is concerned that their mission isn't secret anymore.

"The guards around town that I usually treat were excited about their new mission tomorrow. They said they would be working with a group of adventurers to help take out the bandits once and for all! The blacksmith said so too as he was fixing some young man's armor, having been recruited by a man generous with his coin. It's been the talk of the town really. So many people have hope now, knowing that they may not have to deal with any more bandits ever again!"

In regards to knowing secret missions, the bandit purge was just the coverup for the group's real task. The town only knows about the cover up, as Amberlyn pointed out. The only people who knows of the group's true task, would be King Benegal, Fenrin, and Matkinsai.

Deceidon nods his head to Amberlyn's answer about the rumors. At the inn, he'll thank her for the healing treatment and retire early hoping to get a good rest (and HP) before tomorrow's action.

I guess then we'll go by the tunnels to what I assume will be the bandit camp, unless we have intelligence otherwise that it is on the ground at the mountain.

Amberlyn provides her ministrations and stays at the inn to tend to everyone. (This will provide 3 hit points towards everyone who sleeps under watch, due to her herbalism and healing perks)

If everyone is settled with their business or conversations, I will move things along now. Otherwise, feel free to state that someone does something before retiring to their room. (Make sure you guys provide your percentile rolls for sleeping in this realm. See house rules thread for details)

The adventuring group wakes up, some feeling more rejuvinated than others (will edit once rolls come in). They meet the adventuring brother and sister as well as the young man that Whitsell recruited, downstairs. They are all currently sharing a meal at one of the tables close by, all in good spirits from the looks of things. The young man is proudly wearing his now repaired armour, the adventuring siblings also geared up for the mission ahead.

As the group descends down the stairs, they are welcomed by their hired hands and are invited to the meal. Just outside the entrance to the Inn, Captain Hal can be heard giving out orders to the local town militia. They too seem ready to go and also full of energy!
