“Can I ride him?” the dwarf asked the elf.

“Let’s check west then,” said Gromp, walking (or riding?) to where the outside smells emanated.

Brondulm

Joins Myrrh with the rest of the party peering into the tunnel.

Gromp are you and Vali headed down that way? We will protect your flatulent behind...

While looking up the tunnel, 4 giant rats come running towards the group!

Surprise? Circumstances dictate no.

The dwarf drew away from the dog. “That’s okay boy, we’ll come to be friends.”

Gromp grimaced at the rats, which of course were nearly as big as him. The dwarf drew his blades.

“Slap my ass Cinders! Go on girl, do it! The right buttock! I’ll explain later!”

Brondulm

Takes on one of the giant rats while trying to avoid Gromp's posterior which may have been too much of a distraction:

Short Sword to hit: [1d20+2]=9+2=11; damage [1d6+2]=4+2=6

Lefty to hit [1d20-2]=14-2=12; damage [1d4+1]=4+1=5

Myrrh

Myrrh slashes at a rat.

Vowbound Sword [1d20+1]=11+1=12 to hit [1d8+1]=6+1=7 damage

Brondulm and Myrrh each kill a rat.

2 giant rats still advancing!

Ellith

The elf steps forward, attacking one of the rats! And missing, as is becoming usual.

Ellith attacks! [1d20+1]=6+1=7, Damage [1d8+1]=3+1=4

Faron works in tandem with him.

Faron Bites! [1d20+2]=8+2=10, Damage [1d6]=2

Gromp, disappointed Cinders didn’t slap his ass, attacked the rats. He tried to visualize them as a door.

M’Lady [1d20+2]=7+2=9, dam. [1d8+2]=1+2=3; dagger [1d20]=11, dam. [1d4+2]=3+2=5

Alas, it didn’t work.

Lia

"Why is it always vermin?" Lia says halfway gazing upward before moving forward hammer and shield in hand. Not needing her buttocks smacked to propel her to action, Lia strikes out at one of the remaining rats.

Attack: [1d20]=13
Damage: [1d6]=4

Ellith, Faron, and Gromp all miss their rats, but Lia squishes one soundly!

Cinders attacks the last giant rat, dealing a sound wound!

Scimitar [1d20+4]=17+4=21 Damage [1d6+1]=1+1=2

Brinna stabs at the verminous assailant, but her attack goes wide!

Sword [1d20+1]=1+1=2 Damage [1d8+1]=1+1=2

Vali moves forward to stab with his dagger, but misses!

The giant rat attacks Cinders, biting into her moist, juicy flesh! Rat damage [1d3]=2 Disease [1d20]=10 Fatal? [1d4]=2

Cinders takes 2 more points of damage.

ROUND #2 INITIATIVE - TIE! PCs go first.
PCs d6= [1d6]=6, Enemy d6= [1d6]=6

Cinders slashes at her attacker, eviscerating it!

Scimitar [1d20+4]=8+4=12 Damage [1d6+1]=6+1=7

Combat ended!

Continue up the tunnel?

Myrrh

Myrrh will check Cinders wound, cleaning it out and bandaging it. "Don't want it turning green on you."


Then will advance up the tunnel.

Gromp explained to Cinders: “I have this tattoo on my left buttock that grants me temporary protection. Contact activates it. Perhaps another time.”

The dwarf will join the others in continuing down the hallway to see if it goes outside.

Cinders looks at Gromp like he is speaking Bugbear. Then she says, "When things get dicey, I'll be sure to kick you real hard in the backside."

Unless otherwise noted, everyone is going into the tunnel...

The tunnel is hewn from rock and dirt. The ceiling is low, and the path rough. Slowly, the group makes its way up a slight incline. In due course, everyone emerges outside in a forested area.

Vali and Cinders look around. "We're definitely either north or south of the path leading to the ruins," Cinders notes.

"I think we turned a bit north, so we must be just west of the ruined tower. If we trudgecthrough the brush south, we should reach the path into the Derfingel."

Myrrh

"Looks like we found the backdoor. We should note it in case we need it later and get back in and go the other way."

Yes, you are in the forest to the west of the ruins.
