Turnip seems a little uneasy with that last statement, shaking her head.
"Now, hold on there just for a moment. You can't trap a dragon."

Algrim "Prover yerself? Bah! Them things spit acid lad. I ain't so stupid that I wanna go provin how bold and tough I be ta some acid spittin oversized lizard."

Arngeir scowls. He looks like he is about to say something, but comes out with
"Bah!" then mutters in Ivinian:
He gestures back the way they came
"We go then, back. Someone else carry bones, I need to be ready in case drake comes."

Murgar
"While I can understand not wishing to face such a beast my readings would indicate we are going to. We are in a great hunt, it's unclear if we are the hunters or the hunted. Now my thoughts on this is that if we head out toward our start, then we are the hunted. Or, we can do as Arngeir suggests and become the hunters. My thoughts are always that it is best to embrace the revelations of Sarajin, and do not believe you can avoid them."

Turnip, surprisingly, nods approvingly as Murgar speaks.
"That's right, when you put it that way. Better ambush than be ambushed. Pay your debt before it grows out of hand. Does anyone know anything about this dragon? Where does it hunt? Does it have like...a lair?"

Most dragon tales seem to include a lair with shiny things.
Discussion begins around what to do next. Murgar pointing out his guidance from Sarajin, "We can be the hunted or the hunter."
The question is which will you choose and how to proceed with that choice.
This is a more serious challenge than Orcs obviously. Feel free to ask any questions or strategize either here or in the OOC thread.
Actions?

Arngeir seems to calm somewhat at Murgar's words, nodding.
"Danger there is, need to be hunter, not prey. Algrim, you know about acid? Is some protection we might have from it?"

Algrim "I'll carry tha bones, he's me ancestor any way so only fittin it should be me." the dwarf volunteers.

Murgar
Seeing that the Dwarf is not thinking about acid "I would think heavy leather or skins would be our best defense, and water our best way of dealing with wounds."

Turnip looks even more worried now with all the talk about acid.
"But can it fly? Can it climb trees? I don't think we can catch such a large beast, but perhaps we can keep it i place for a while, if we manage to entangle it in something? Or can we drop a rock on it? I mean we need to do something to even out the odds."
She thinks for some more minutes.
"Maybe we can bait it into somewhere where it can't maneuver? And then jump it, all of us together?"

Algrim relays what he knows of these drake creatures. "Alright calm down Turnip. This is me knowledge on drakes. Drakes spit acid, are as fast as a horse, not as smart as a real Dragon, but they be smarter than any normal animal, they be hyper aggressive when they shed their skin er grow larger. An most importantly it is said they like ta horde shiny things."

Murgar
"While calming down is good, Turnip does have a good idea. If we can pick the place of battle, one that limits it, and gives us some additional weapons, then our chances of getting to those shiny things increases."

Arngeir nods
"Yes, thinking same. If has lair, could trap inside, or find spot nearby with more trees. A place difficult for it to move in."

I am going to pass on an update today to let everyone continue the role play/planning discussion some more. I will probably update sooner than Thursday unless the discussion looks to be ongoing.

Turnip nods.
"Yes, that's smart. But how do we find its lair? Is anyone here a tracker? A beast of that size should be easy enough to follow though, right? Shall we see if we can see any tracks leading off the shed skin we found?"

I am at work so not sure if anyone has Tracking, but that said this thing would be pretty easy to track. It is roughly the size of a horse with a big tail dragging on the ground and big clawed feet. You can tell which direction it went.

Algrim shrugs "Plan er no whate'er yah all plan I'm goin' along wit. Even if I think fightin some drake is a hair-brained idea." the dwarf honestly gives his opinion of the situation. "I'm only doin what me ancestors asked me ta do."

Turnip rubs her chin, deep in thought, obviously constructing some elaborate plan for this encounter.
"Well, we would probably make life easier for the people living nearby by getting rid of this beast, especially as you say it's currently aggressive. If we manage to get it in close quarters, I can offer a smoke screen." She produces a small sphere of glass from one of her pouches. "This here will fill the area with smoke and hopefully confuse it, while we strike."
