OOC
Re: OOC
LOL, I am not sure it is how it was ever done or not but it is what the group I play with came up with years ago. Several of us have spent enough time outdoors to know that at night light is a double edged sword.
Re: OOC
I am traveling to visit family today through Friday late. I will be back Saturday. I am bringing my work laptop and will see if I can make it work but no guarantees. Even if it does work I won't have any rules with me so posting will be less no mater what.
Re: OOC
I am back, unfortunatly my laptop doesn't work with this website. It is a work laptop and it blocks it even when running off WIFI. Able to check with my phone but posting much more then a couple lines is a beast on the phone.
Re: OOC
Sorry its been slow lately between the sites issues and me having some stuff to deal with, should get back to normal Wednesday night or Thursday morning if the site is back to normal. Thanks for sticking with me.

I'm in no rush Rex so in other words what they said

Re: OOC
I haven't heard anything from Ythgar or Ossian so thinking of moving into a scenario from the list. I can always work them in if they finish up their character.
We touched on some stuff in the Simple Journeys thread. How is it going with the rules so far?
Any particular things you would like to see next?
Which Scenario would you like to try first or would you rather keep doing what we are doing now a little longer?
Anything else you can think of to mention?

I can't find my cheat sheet for changing links, been one of those mornings.

Re: OOC
Surprise us! I think it's best if we don't now what kind of scenario we're going into ahead of time.
Re: OOC
Yeah, I don't expect anybody to have the rules down at this point, particularly combat. I really just kind of threw the hunting scenes in to wet the appetite a bit and see how it can play out different then the standard hp type combat.
Re: OOC
You are 8 leagues south of the Osel bridge trading post, then about 16 leagues north to the first real settlement in Kaldor, the fortified manor of Varden. The ruined Abby you are at is the traditional quarter point so about 3 times that far to Burzyn.
A league is about 2.5 miles or 4 km. So 60 miles or 96 km to Kaldor proper.
I will get some maps posted up tonight, something I have been meaning to do but haven't. Any requests are welcome, tonight is my last night of work until July 11th as we have our annual plant shutdown so I should have some time to get whatever you guys want posted.

Re: OOC
A cart the slowest part of the caravan) moves at 4 leagues per watch on a flat trail, some of the trail is through rough/hilly terrain and the speed drops to half that or 2 leagues per watch. A watch is 4 hours so a 8 hour day is 8 or 4 leagues per day. So a good day on a flat section would be 8 leagues / 20 miles / 32km. I will get some more info up tonight, I am off to work now.

I don't care which way they go I'm willing to follow along with them apparently Algrim is a good hunter and provider of better food for them.
