Sven gathers Gerdal, Amos, Cadeweed, and Mazzah the Magnificent together so they can report their team.
"Hey, there aren't many teams registered yet. Maybe this will be easier than we thought", he jokes.
"How about using Mazzah's Mule Train for our team name?"

Re: Festivals and Celebration Days.
It is open to any non-mage teams too.
If there are not enough folk to make a team just post which village team you join and add the macro to your roll.

Gerdal nods to Sven's suggestion.
"I think you're onto something here Sven. Maybe if we just wave our hands before the tug and speak some gibberish, the opponents will think we cursed them. Meaning no disrespect Amos." she laughs.

Re: Festivals and Celebration Days.
Thank you.
Dalin goes to the tug of war sign up and signs up. He just blindly puts his name down on whatever team has an opening. "Should be fun." he says.

Tug of War
Battles lines are drawn up, hands dusted to secure firm grips, soles of old boots hammered through with nails for that extra grip.
Eight teams in costume heave-ho, putting their backs into it and taking the strain while an appreciative crowd applaud their efforts.
Rules:
Basically each entrant rolls a 3d6+str and a 4d6 vs Dex check. If you equal or pass your Dex save, then those points difference are added to your strength score.
If you fail your Dex check, your Str check roll is halved as you lose your feet in the contest.
The total combined score of the five competitors is added and compared to the opposing team, with the higher of scores going through as winner.
I have Sven, Gerdal, Cosmo, Sigrid and Mazzah representing the 'Mages of Muscle' team and Dalin, Orgoth, Vann Hector, Golgarth and Steban representing 'the Tavern dudes'.
In a random draw:
Tavern Dudes vs Turgen's Gold Standard
Dwarven Forge vs Bogtown Brutes
Duchy Militia vs Mages of Muscle
Helix Housewives Cooperative vs Merc' Guild.
for ease of fulfilling the competition in one go I would like each entrant to roll the following macros please:
R1: name [3d6+Str stat]. [4d6] vs Dex
R2: as above macro
R3: as above macro.
Best of luck to all entrants.

Vann Hector
Joins the drinking buddies to man up on the ropes:
He proves a bit of a rope-a-dope though:
Vann Hector: Tug of War R1 [3d6+11]=7+11=18 [4d6]=18 vs Dex 16
Vann Hector: Tug of War R2 [3d6+11]=13+11=24 [4d6]=13 vs Dex 16
Vann Hector: Tug of War R3 [3d6+11]=5+11=16 [4d6]=13 vs Dex 16
So by my reckoning I earn the team:
R1 +9 points
R2. +27 points
R3 +19 points.

Re: Festivals and Celebration Days.
Sven figures that he would rather do the old let-go-of-the-rope trick as soon as the other team starts to pull, instead of being humiliated and getting dirty, since this was all for a gag anyway. He looks to Mazzah hoping the old wizard has something up his sleeve for the underdogs.
If the team does decide to pull, Sven does pretty average, as expected.
[3d6+7]=12+7=19 [4d6]=16 (vs15)
[3d6+7]=10+7=17 [4d6]=11 (vs15)

Re: Festivals and Celebration Days.
Golgarth
In his quest for XP and more blessings of Cromm Cruach, he pulls his weight and a bit extra on the end of the five man tug of war team. He has heard Bollo is sponsoring the group to do well and have an 'all you can drunk' session if we win.
hope that is true!
With that in mind, he scores.
Golgarth: tug of war [3d6+12]=13+12=25 [4d6]=21 vs 11
"It's a bit slippy here. Oops!"
Golgarth: tug of war [3d6+12]=14+12=26 [4d6]=12 vs 11
"Finding my feet."
Golgarth: tug of war [3d6+12]=10+12=22 [4d6]=12 vs 11
'Splatt' in the mud, again it seems.
Rounding up it is 13, 13 & 11.

Re: Festivals and Celebration Days.
Gerdal gives it her best, but it seems half-ogre feet are needed not to slip in the mud.
ToW power [3d6+8]=10+8=18, [4d6]=16 vs 12

Steban's contribution to the Tavern Dude's Tug of War: +15, +22, +11.

The mages exit having win one and lost one. The epic finale lines up with honour and ales at stake.
The Tavern Dude's vs Mercenary Guild.
Over three extended rounds of heaving, getting a grip, putting your backs into it and losing your feet to get dragged in the mud, the final is drawn out.
Dalin, Vann, Golgarth, Orgoth each provide another two macros please. I will total up and roll compared to the mercenary guild efforts and best out of three rounds wins.
Your first round score is totalled from the last macro which was 98 points.

Cadeweed was bummed to be kicked off the all-wizard team.
It was a place he could feel strong (not to mention he has good footing)

Re: Festivals and Celebration Days.
sorry Cadeweed, I would have included you somewhere on a team but I must have overlooked you posting here that you entered. I just noted the bold type from your original post.
Cadeweed signs up for the Greased Pig, Stone the Crows, Maypole Dancing, and Festival Pie Competition.
He hears that Sven is forming an All Wizard Tug of War Team and Cadeweed volunteers to be the anchor.
