Just for reference, only a single attack will be possible as both the Extra Attack and Martial Arts class features for the monk have the requirement that the Attack (not Ready) action be used.

Yup. Readying an attack uses your Reaction to actually make the attack, so just a single draw of the bowstring.

I've just been a lot more active since I find myself in a hyper-D&D mood of late. (Which I expect to continue for the foreseeable future as I'm excitedly reading through both OSRIC and OSE in anticipation of revisiting more old-school roots.)

I did mean to address this, and did initially type it generally with plans on revisiting it before posting, but clearly forgot:

The rough sentiment is shared by Lika, who begins to eagerly poke through the remains, assessing the nutritional value of the slugs.

I never considered the dietary considerations for an Aarakocra, but some birds do eat slugs. Only, these aren't truly slugs, but something else. Still, sure, he should potentially be able to salvage some days of food from each.

Let's say 0-3 days of nourishment per "slug" are possible, so 0-9 days in total.
