Cyril says, "Do be careful as you descend. It is a long tumble down there and I do not believe we'd be capable of healing that kind of fall." Still though, he follows along at the back of the parade down the extra large steps.

Ceana
Quiet while breathing a prayer to Yoon'Deh, the druid follows the others down the giant steps, taking heed to stay within the radius of the torches for fear of falling. Once in the large circular room, Ceana can't help but stare at the huge statue in the center. Sheathing her falcata, she readies her bow with an arrow.

Magda listens carefully while Belloc narrates the sights his familiar is seeing. When he describes the one-eyed statue, she nods knowingly. "Cyclops! She'll never speak again, but the Toad Matron spoke truth about this, after all." She smiles prettily at the magician, "Better they were giants with arms and legs than with snake-parts, don't you agree, Magister Belloc?"
The black rat hops on his hind legs, clearing one big stair at a time, while further back (behind all but Cyril & Taibhse) his mistress lowers herself daintily, her shapely calves and sandalled feet peeking from beneath her long skirts. Magda is mindful that if retreat be needed, Skavi can climb up quickly with his sharp claws, whilst she'll be as slow as the other humans.

Island Under The Zakath Desert
Feeling Tiny
No Idea On Time Or Day
It takes some doing, but the group is eventually able to descend these massive stairs all the way to the bottom. Magda's rat can indeed leap the 3 foot distance between treads, but the stonework is so smooth and perfect, it would have a difficult time climbing back up them if the need arose. As would anyone else in the party.
Once at the entrance to the room, the torchlight illuminates the area nearest the party, shining up at the statue of the one-eyed behemoth standing atop the dry stone fountain in the very center of the circular room.
There is no sign of life that you can perceive from the doorway. The doors across the way are barely visible with your current limited light sources.

Sik carefully moves towards the doorway, trying to avoid the gaze of the terrible cyclopean statue, positioning himself just close enough to the door to be able to see it clearly with the lantern.
"What do you think, Drest - do you see any signs of traps around the door?"

Drest
Drest will check out the door and its surroundings for traps. "Keep the light here so I can see what I am doing."

Cyril holds up his torch, trying to assess if the doors across the way are sized for giants.

Cyril studies the size of the doors from a distance, finding them larger than normal doors, but not quite what he might call "giant sized".
Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Magda stays near Cyril, equally curious about the doors in the chamber, but prudently not straying too far from others in the party.
How tall is the cyclops statue?
How tall are the doors, 10 or 12 feet? The size of the stairs might suggest bipedal figures as tall as 20' or 30'.

12ish?
These details can not be clearly ascertained from long distance in limited light.
Would anyone like to get closer?

Ceana cautiously takes a few steps toward the statue in the center of the large chamber. She has an arrow ready and never takes her eyes off the face of the statue, studying it carefully as she approaches. It is cast in shadow by the torches in the room, but she moves ever closer still.

Woops, to clarify, Sik is looking at the double doors at the north passageway.

Taibhse
He'll stop on the last step. There he'll prep his bow and see if there is anyplace to place his torch if he needs to use the bow. He'll then observe the room watching for any danger.

Cyril stays near to the wall with his back to it and begins to circle the statue looking for writing or markings on it, despite not having a lot of hope that any of the party will be able to read what ever is written.
"Should this room prove as empty as it feels, shall we pick a door at random to explore? I feel good about this door leading west."

Kainaxarthos
Kain joins Ceana at the statue. "Interesting. These doors suggest normal-ish-sized people. How big were those snake-people again?" He looks up at the statue. "And this and the stairs suggest a worship of the cyclops. I think this was a human temple devoted to something alien."
He calls to Cyril. "West is as good as any."

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Seeing Ceana, Cyril, and Kain carefully approaching the cyclops statue, Magda dithers a moment but then decides to accompany the two warriors checking out the double doors to the north. She stops 30' away from the doors and sends a mental instruction to Skavi, who then skitters across the floor to join the sorcerers looking over the statue.
