There are 5 currently on task. Each explorer holds 6 crew and 2,000kg of cargo.

Okay, sounds like we need two explorers. Do they need us to drive or will they have skilled drivers? Daz would suggest we have both of them armed, if possible.

The scientists glance at each other, then one pulls out a chronocom and talks into it for a while, then turns to you; "Your two other explorers will be here in 2 hours."

When the explorers arrive, Rick will check over the armaments carefully.

OOC: I will be gone on vacation for a week and a half so feel free to NPC Rick during that time.

GM: In this setting, how unusual would a nuclear reactor be? I'm assuming it's highly dangerous but perhaps the tech here makes that not the case. Are there concerns for safely transporting it? Before Daz reacts or inquires further, I'd like to know what Daz knows about this.

Not exceptionally unusual. A lot of times, when power is needed for a long period of time, a nuclear reactor is better than a dozen or more parabatteries. Those with technical skills note that this is a type 4 power generator.

Most of the equipment with be archeology equipment, along with measuring devices, carbon dating equipment, digging tools, etc.
