Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
I read if the title is interesting or if people I know are in the other game.
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
This is me. Like Darithe I am an obsessive reader for both work and pleasure, but I don't care for reading on a computer screen, I an DM in another game, and I am a player in something like 20 games on here.ravenn4544 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 1:01 pm I only read the thread my character is in. This is true for all the games I'm in.

Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
I have been reading all of the active adventure threads since I joined as well as going through the threads in Helix. I usually end the day without any "red notes" by the threads here at Barrowmaze (or other 3 campaigns I am apart of) but I am kind of sicko and suffer from insomnia.
I am getting concerned that it after 20:00 GMT and SM has not made his advent post for the day (that kind of sick).

I generally limit myself to the posts that my character would have knowledge of. So, either my character is there or someone has said something like "I relayed the goings on at the tavern", etc.

I primarily only read what my character is involved in.

Thanks everyone!
Pretty much about what I thought.
I used to read everything, but now I can't even understand how SM keeps up with it all.
(15 replies out of 40 whatever players makes me wonder how many are actually reading this thread)

That's true.
It seemed longer ago, but maybe that's because I was on vacation at the time.

I read my own active thread and once it goes into the Completed Expeditions, I might check on others as that seems 'public ooc info'.
I readcall the topics and edits and any additions to settlement locations but I don't follow everyone's shopping trips, tavern talk, solo adventures.
Forty players? I think a few left, but from looking at the current Experience Points thread, we must have 30+ active characters.

I typically only read what I’m involved in or if pointed to another for relevant info by the DM.

There are 29active characters per this topic:
https://www.unseenservant.us/forum/view ... hp?t=12439
There are also 2 characters missing and presumed dead but I believe the players of those missing characters also have active characters as well. So it appears that there are 29 of us playing with SM in the Barrowmaze.

Pardon my miss, but was this portion/ question aimed at Dadely or Ness?

We can also check the 'green flame house', maybe something unusual about it."

It was spoken to Ness but you can comment on anything. Do you know of the green flame house, some backstreet apothecary? Have you had dealings with Nergal cults or know in the Collegiate library of any texts, manuscripts, histories of such, especially in Ironguard?Pardon my miss, but was this portion/ question aimed at Dadely or Ness?
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
I'll have to defer to Spearmint on whether Dadely knows any of that
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Certainly I would encourage folk to read up any posts in public threads, Town Crier, ooc, House Rules, etc to stay abreast of questions and edits.
I hope the Advent Quiz adds a few extra points of interest or knowledge.
I am aiming this week, in between a couple of long drives, to update each thread at least twice so that you will have much to go at over Christmas. I appreciate the pace for some folk may slow between now and New Year but ideally we can keep to the target of two updates to main expedition threads going forward.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
To all my fellow players, too many to mention each by name and to Spearmint, our GM.
I have enjoyed very much the game since joining the forum and the challenge of my own character's adventure as well as reading so many other thrilling episodes in other expeditions.
I will not be posting again until after Christmas, so take this opportunity to wish you all the best of the season's greetings.
