She will clean up herself and recover as many arrows as possible.
Please roll per the house rules

Non-Magical Ammunition Recovery:
  • Indoors: 33% it will be lost or destroyed
  • Outdoors: 50% it will be lost or destroyed

In addition, there is the potential for arrows from the fallen hobgoblin archers.

Qleceec

8 fired total.
Arrow recover [_8d100]=(62+78+44+25+27+96+24+10)=366
5 recovered.

She will sort through the hobgoblin arrows and find the 3 best she can replace her lost ones with. Then she locates a hobgoblin quiver and selects the next best 20 arrows for that quiver.

Sheet updated to original 20, will hold off on adding the second quiver until I know she can find enough arrows.

Androgst returns to the party and issues some brief orders on keeping watches on the perimeter. With business attended to, he offers his opinion as fact, "Well done! That was quite the battle! Honor is ours this day!"

After a few more minutes celebrating their grand glorious victory it's back to business. "Indeed, that giant crossbow would be something if we could mount it to one of these carts if we could fix it. I'd like to continue on the offensive north, but our sorcerers have also expended quite a bit of magic in this battle - perhaps a brief respite on the southern cliff would do us well to replenish their magic?"

Hex shrugs at the words. I doubt it will prove all that useful against the dragon and it’s minions. Not decisively enough to be worth the trouble of hiking it back to the worms lair. Besides we are past its territory now. It seems foolish to want to return to it whilst the earthquakes remain our priority. Better to destroy it so any remaining hobgoblins cannot use it against us again, and be on our way to a more secure location to rest and recover our strength and power.

Raffi will search the bodies for a sling, or a Shortbow he could take with him.

Androgst nods, "that is a sound tactical assessment, sir. Indeed, if we were able to make it work it would only be good for an initial shot - it takes too long to reload to be effective against a dragons breath for more than that. What say you about the hobgoblin lair to the north that appears to be real? Do we scout that out ere we head further east and protect our flanks?"

Hex mulls it over. My initial feeling is that I can’t recall how many Hobgoblins the prisoners questioned said were there. We have taken many of them here. But if a lot more remain then it seems a waste of our time to continue to assault them further, whilst outnumbered. Souxsie can take the form of animals for an indefinite period I believe. She could fly to the lair and spy out how many remain before we make a decision perhaps. If we are to assault it, her ability to call Lightning before we get to the lair but are within range could prove extremely useful in a preemptive attack. It all depends on how many of the creatures are left I think. I don’t think we should linger here near the carrion we have crafted, for these bodies will draw in predators before long, don’t you think druidess? Ranger?

In the Jotens - Post Hobgoblin Conflict
Waterday, 12th day of Planting, 597
7th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 22/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 30/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 18/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 32/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 25/50)
Hex (AC 0, HP 22/27, Armor 5/8)
Raffi (AC 6, HP 20/21)
Boff (AC 5, HP 29/61)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 8/26)

The light misting is no match for the mighty spell of Siouxsie, be she wills the sizzling Wall of Fire to end with all of the hobgoblins in the area dead.

Qleceec searches the hobgoblin archers for arrows and is able to find a total of 41 decent arrows, but the hobgoblin arrow quivers are smaller and only hold 10 arrows each. Raffi expresses interest in a short bow and helps Qleceec collecting the forementioned 41 arrows and find a short bow if he wishes to take one.

Androgst suggests that brief respite on the southern cliff could allow the group to see the road and rest up.

There was some discussion on transporting the ballista. I look for a creative PC to tell me how you are going to transport this ballista. The wagon trap is a wagon that has been sawed down the middle (front half and back half) so that it could be moved to expose the ballista. Even if you can somehow repair this wagon the group has no horses to pull the wagon. I need a practical idea on how to transport it if that is the desire.

Hex suggests destroying the ballista and to find a more secure place to rest.

There was some additional discussion of perhaps sending Siouxsie to scout the Hobgoblin "camp" perhaps in the form of a bird and some possible tactics that could be used. There was question of how many hobgoblins, How many of you are really in your tribe? - "Over Two hundred, including the younglings." was answered from the results of Hex's spellcraft

Garrant suggests that there be some talk of healing.

The wizard-priest casts healing on himself:

CLW: [1d6+2]=1+2=3

He then offers up healing for

Qleceec

CLW: [1d6+2]=2+2=4

Nah Olos

CLW: [1d6+2]=3+2=5

"I have a single healing spell left. Frannie, you look like you could certainly use some of your own healing."

Siouxsie

Siouxsie: casts enhanced Cure Light Wounds [1d4+4]=2+4=6 [1d4+4]=4+4=8

Can bless some of the injured, reminding them of the 'earth mother's grace' and that they should go vegetarian for a day in thanksgiving.

I am not keen on scouting for more Hobgoblin lair information. Rather to get to the settlement and report on Prebish the dragon.

Androgst can't argue with the group. He looks over the party and states, "So be it - let us rest and recuperate and plan our next course. We know the goblin tribe is to the north. Some manner of trouble could be south, but the cliff there is our best bet. Otherwise, we head east for a few hours and find a more suitable spot and put this battle behind us."

Sounds like this is for members of the party. How would you like to find a taker for this?

Well Siouxsie is not going to withhold healing from those in need, but will put an expectation that there us some reciprocating gratitude to her deity. She doesn't police that however, leaving it is up to the individual to act out any way they offer thanks or not.

Meanwhile she'll probably chew quite happily upon a ham hock or chicken wing. If asked about the apparent meat eating hypocrisy, she'll just say, "well, I wasn't the one healed...".

I think this clerical area of ministry has always bugged me. You know, the cleric is the one who has to get up early to pray, offer the right devotion, live the tenets of faith, appeal to the divine for the mercy. Then cast healing on someone who carries on living in sin or without any gratitude. Ultimately too, the GM is God. So there should be some reasonable expectations upon the clerical player to roleplay preaching, teaching, making offerings, sanctifying places, whatever to keep in divine favour and if not, spells may not be directly appropriated or even face ability checks to cast.

Going back to the question of who needs healing. If a player wants to respond with "I'll receive the blessing and forego meat or go hug a tree" that's fine, otherwise choose the most injured.

Qleceec

I was waiting for someone with less hp than Qleceec to get the healing. If someone else doesn't step up she will take it. She doesn't mind giving thanks to the spirits of nature.

I am fine with it SM if that is how you want to play Siouxsie and her faith. As someone who's father was an amateur theologian and did some work for the Catholic church and one of my hobbies things I love to read about is theology, not all religions actively preach to non members or try to encourage converts. Going back to ancient polytheistic religions it becomes even rarer. Most simply believed in all the Gods and were not devoted to anyone in particular except their priests. There are many accounts of even priests of 1 deity sacrificing to another deity at times. You simply gave thanks/sacrifice when appropriate. They tended to be very pragmatic in fact.
