I checked my thread when Tiv had a solo career on Blackrock while y'all were marauding on Marduk. When he met with Her Words Calm Prey the first time (in a business room on station...not in her hangar), he was armed. However, Tiv thinks sidearms and long blades would probably be disallowed to be carried by their party into the hangar.

Based on that, he will request to place his PDL (w/ both laser sight and Holo-Hud uplink) and monofilament sword inside Thundercat. He'll borrow from the Serpent's armory whatever sidearm best fits his empty PDL holster...fully expecting to have to stow it on entry to the hangar. He will wear his ceremonial family heirloom cutlass, as he did last time. Stealth Dagger in boot. Sonic Stun Carbine w/both laser site and Holo-Hud uplink slung over his shoulder.

He'll also ask for one dose of Combat Drug.

He's already offered up his Gauss Rifle (with a laser sight) for party use.

I can add little IC to the ongoing "technomancy" and as per the timeline anticipate that Raven, with only fractional pauses to direct the warband, will be in CQB / actual melee for most of the cutting out operation. At least until all external opposition has been extinguished... deliberate choice of words.

The best contribution our 'bots can make (and which we must not undervalue / be distracted from) is simply jamming iris valves and/or hatches open with their physical bulk. This achievement alone is absolutely vital to our attack on the Pouncer as due to logistical/operational constraints we have no way to serially perform explosive breaching.

Well, I didn't get time to write up the (actually quite brief) surveillance update today.

But, that's OK, it gives time for contacting Lady Ice/SS Ilsa. Which, IIRC, were going to cooperate with the captured ship (Pouncer) and the Serpent to engage the lurking warship. The Serpent being "stealthish", and the Pouncer a Trojan Horse.

Yes, we previously discussed having the Serpent and Lady Ice position to engage prior to the Pouncer (crewed by us) conducting a departure from the station then getting chased by the SS Illssa. The Pouncer would attempt (perhaps guided by Ummimmiir/Soraia) to lead the chase so as to intercept with the escort in such a position as the Serpent, Lady Ice, Illsa and perhaps the Pouncer could all fire on the escort.

Perhaps the Pouncer would jump away to a future rendezvous point. The stealthy Serpent, Illsa and Lady Ice could divide the spoils of what was left.

And now we have Sigbjorn and his stealth-ish fighter to bring into the fur ball (dogfight) now.

I may be a little slow in picking up what you’re putting down Re: using our ships’ guns in the raid. Both starships (the Serpent and the Pouncer) and Signorn’s fighter are currently in hangar complexes inside of Blackrock station. Can you tell me more about what you’re proposing here? Are you proposing the use of the Serpent or the fighter to attack during this raid which will take place inside the station, or are you referring to the ship-to-ship combat we’re expecting as an after-party to the raid on the Pouncer?

The Serpent and Pouncer are in separate private hangars so we can't use ship guns in the initial part of the raid (in the Aslan hangar) but can hold them ready in reserve should someone counter attack our hangar (I believe the Serpent has anti personnel mounts as well as ship to ship weapons).

Our ship to ship batteries' moment (together with our new fighter) will come in when we try to escape in our prize vessel!

I don't foresee any opportunity to use ship's weapons unless and until you engage the escort. Things will have gone terribly wrong, far beyond the ability of most players, to bring us to Starship Lasers inside the station. This is not a challenge.

Lawks! I too am befuddled and beguilded (yes - patent pending) by unfolding RL events.

In what seemed like the "dream ticket" mission I have been left at home in charge of the dogs.

There was a clear hierarchical chain of command established at the departure briefing but in fairness I wasn't really paying enough attention...

However, at least one of the dogs appears to have internet access (I should have stood firm on their being allowed phones) and, without my consent, has summoned a "big pile of beer" (including some delicious nectar direct from a local brewery). However, it is of such size (and now sentience) that it has developed into a "beer elemental" In response I have wisely(?) called a convocation of local beer wizards (see tramps) to dispel its intrusion onto this plane of being. Shoring up this rent in the multiverse* is but a minor distraction for wizards of our caliber but has delayed my posting this week...

Alas, my last was a thing of beauty but remains a shadow of its former self due to a computer glitch mid post...

He’ll also invoke the Angrboda’s decree to permit him to act as clan trade emissary until the Angrboda arrives. Using that authority, he will ask this Skippare to diplomatically make excuses to delay any other clan ships from meeting with Her Words until told otherwise. He won’t reveal the whole reason. Just that he has an “ace up his sleeve” in dealing with Her Words.

Stating this in case you want to forgo role playing that interaction to get the “show on the road”.

I was, indeed, thinking of dealing with that narratively.

Today we took the dog to the emergency vet, and he was diagnosed with Kennel Cough (our regular vet assured us he could skip that vaccination, because he doesn't go into kennels ).

The vet did not believe I knew how to give a pill to a dog and "showed me". I said we ought to make sure he'd really swallowed it, and she assured me he had: "I know the signs". On the way to the car, nearly 10 minutes later, he spat the thing out. Cunning little beast. Didn't help him though, he just had to swallow it in the car-park instead of the surgery.

So, youngest daughter goes home tomorrow, dog is not allowed walks - should get a post up sometime soon.

Assuming the high capacity data line hijack is effective, Tiv’s instructions to Arnwulf will be to have the Serpent translate Aslan discussions it can hear and rebroadcast executive summaries of those translations to all PC’s commdots. Arnwulf is to provide tactically relevant information and intelligence. Eno is to keep splicing footage of normal hangar activity and broadcasting that in place of the actual video feeds.
