Frank sounds alarmed "Blood? Freddie, is Ms Ingriddsdottir injured? Sargent-Majar, stand by for Freddie's report, we may need your help"

I didn't realise Freya had been hit :(
I’ll be there next, ‘Arry first. She’s talkin’, ‘e’s not.

On squad channel: Mike, I’m on me way. What’s the damage?

shaidar wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 8:41 am Frank starts to make his way along the path towards the west and Sgt Dawson

He sets his comms to the general company channel "Good work everyone. Anyone injured get assessed, injury report from squad leaders please. It's good to see you Sargent Dawson."
Beau links up with Frank and reports "I'm surely glad to be back, sir! That was some bad business back there: the insurgents caught the Guard cold and then their officers let them down. I'd say they're finished as a fighting unit". He continues "There was an attack on the hospital wing. Sergeant Gaughan and his men didn't take kindly to that and became... deranged". He trails off then hastily adds "They are good men, sir. They fight hard but will follow only Gaughan and the other big fellow Lannigan. It seems they have declared themselves to now be outside the Guard command structure, sir".

He adds "My group and Gaughan's men were holding the attackers when they suddenly started to pull out. Gaughan's men pursued them and with the men I had I managed to keep in contact. Both our units are pretty much fought out, sir".

The Guard forces fall into two clear groups. There are tankers and other rear echelon types who, without Beau's leadership, are already milling about. Then there are Gaughan's men who form a separate and distinct group - nearly all are wounded.

As Jess hurries gingerly north Mike delivers his triage assessment "Er ... leg, Sarn't Major".

Jess arrives before the need for any more communication further aggravates her blood pressure. She checks over 'Arry (helpfully carried south by Mike) who appears to have suffered a round through the leg which may have clipped the femur but fortunately hit nothing else on route. Jess dresses and stabilises the wound converting 'Arry into "Stable Wounded awaiting further Treatment". Provided he doesn't aggravate the wound by running about (which is pain limited) he's good - if not particularly ambulatory.

Freya

"Come on, Miss Freya, now - there's a love" Freddie takes her hand and leads her a little way until he bids her kneel down. He then gently removes her hood and googles and, after what might be a medico/exploratory prod or two, begins to clean her wound with an abundant supply of water.

Freya realises they must be at the edge of the pool she saw to her right from the doorway. Having washed enough blood away to restore her eyesight Freddie then mops the area dry before spraying on "one shot" aerosols of disinfectant, clotting agent and then wound dressing. The result is no great improvement to Freya's vision but her wound seems to have stopped bleeding.

Freddie fishes in Freya's hood and handing her the spent round quips "Here you go - didn't have your name on it!"

All (except Prerna)

With the apparent lull in the fighting all can reposition themselves with at least nine squares of non tactical movement in any direction on the map.

Freddie - You're a dear and I could kiss you!

But I won't. It'll give the wrong idea I suspect.

So - The sniper hunt.

Kit

Kit move in the general direction of the northwest door. 9 squares will have in the middle of the circular section, to the west - north-west of his position as labeled on the most recent map.

Once the wound is dressed: 'Arry, yer on light duties. Keep an' eye on things 'ere.

Jess hauls herself up to move to the next problem.

Prerna

As Prerna and Easy move through the northern hatch towards the snack bar a rifle grenade slams into the pathway and explodes far too close to them. Fortunately neither are either directly hit or injured by the fragmentation. Both dive left towards the snack bar and Easy kicks open the door under the stairs to reveal a toilet. She ruefully glances north and mutters grimly "We need a door!" Calling "Fire in the sh!thole!" she primes a "homewrecker" and, rolling it into the latrine, huddles into cover.

Easy Frag: Roll(2d6)-4: 2,1,-4 Total:1 Bah, I woz robbed! :x ;) :) )

Frank would have moved 9 squares towards the western door (with Dog and Charlie)

Wilco Boss.

Jess heads over to start the assessment of the Guard. As he goes she talks aloud to herself Army an' their bloody courses, teachin' fightin' soldiers things as take 'em out'v the fight...

Reaching the group she nods at Gaughan: Sarn't. Good to see yer. Take it yer actin' CO now? As most senior present.

While checking medical status she also regards their potential as new recruits. Might as well use two skills learned on "bloody courses" at once, get the full benefit :)

"Thank you Sargent. You did extremely good work, I put you in a difficult situation. I've asked the Sargent-Major to give everyone a medical check-over, identify anyone who needs further medical attention. If you could assist her, a known face would be useful. "

Prerna

Baker reports that he saw nothing and Prerna deduces that one reason for being missed might be a narrow "window" for the shot. She deduces that the firer was likely due north of the hatch and engaged as Prerna and Easy became briefly visible on the road. Even just relying on a frag hit was a sound bet (and probably should have paid dividends with a high tech grenade) but she and Easy got off lightly. However, she can now conclude that the firer likely has covering fire on the hatch.

On her comm she hears "Major Nayar, Mike. Myself and King are at the hatch that you just went through. We're on the east side - we're going to try to spot that grenadier before we come through".

(OOC: Roll(2d6)+4: 4,1,+4 Total:9 (Recon, Int Tactics) Limped home - but a win's a win! :) )

"Copy that. We're headed upstairs to engage them." She switches to her team channel. "Easy, come with me. We're going upstairs." When Easy is ready, Prerna leads her up the stairs and into the nearest concealment/cover available on the upper level at a dead run.

"Charlie, join your squad mates to the north. Dog, go with Ms Ingriddsottir and Freddie and help with finding that sniper, but you are to keep Ms Ingriddsottir safe and don't let her go running off"

He turns to Sargent Gaughan

"Sargent, the Sargent-Major is on her way to help medically asses the wounded, Sargent Dawson will remain to assist. You are welcome to the medical facilities we have, if yours have been damaged. We have seriously wounded men, so if you're facilities are functional and have medical tech we don't then your assistance would be appreciated. We need to work together for our survival. There are the remaining insurgents to clear and we should prepare for the force that has just arrived in orbit."
