I use this pause to understand how I can interact in the main topic without seem rude and without divert the attention from the main scene.
How could I do it?
Always, just post something in character. If nothing else, it covers for when I'm too busy to be present
If you've got a good bit of dialogue, or you just want to form a relationship with another character, post it.
If there's something you think might be fun/useful to do (even if it's just popping down the shops for a packet of biscuits), post it.

It's never rude joining in the discussion and moving a story line along.
If you haven't yet done it: I joined the game very late. I found it very helpful to understanding my role in the story by reading all the way back to the Raid Season thread...then chronologically all the way through. That really helps with understanding the context...even if I can't act on that knowledge in character until I learn of previous events/themes in character.
I hope you find joining us enjoyable!

Sound advice there!
The story has developed itself in interesting ways. From the beginning Raven and Remington have had an unlikely and very odd yet nuanced relationship when they probably shouldn't have one at all - especially one based on religion... or is it faith... or something else???
Raven has slowly become a multi faceted "monotasked combat specialist"!
However, as per the last passage of play, despite much angsty brooding and being very dangerous she still can't get it done on her own (whether she admits it or not). This pattern seems to leave lots of narrative room for everyone else to pitch in - generally to actually get things done!

Half a post is better than no post.
I'll try and get Tiv back to the ship in the next post.

Shall I signal Kar then to initiate the transfer?
As he reaches for his hand computer.
This is a cash transaction, no electronic transfer. Tiv knew this, and will have the funds with him.
It is another reason for the pass on the warband - Medusa is presuming you were worried about walking around with large amounts of money and brought security.

Just posting myself AWOL until Sunday night - spot of gaming and travel!
Gamewise I think we're good for all options with my last designed to "give Tiv the floor" in response.
As per our diplomatic mission we have made useful contacts and can at least report some progress with the Tyrians.
As to getting into bed with the Lords of Theev I think we have discovered that they are the sort of bedfellows who won't stay on their own side and steal the duvet!

In game trivia quiz - go!
Did you know that our ship type the "Threshing Oar" class has its name directly lifted from one of the most "Viking" rock songs ever: Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin.
Ah-ah, ah!
Ah-ah, ah!
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, sing and cry
Valhalla, I am coming
On we sweep with
threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore
Join in now you have the song sheet!

Out of time for further OOC discussion. Suffice it to say, Raven would recognize sincerity in Tivs last discussion.

I'm holding off on giving an IC report just in case there's anything fishy that turned up on Remingtons chemical analysis. If there's not I'll go ahead and give the all clear in the main thread.

Check your PM.
(It turns out that I had somehow sent the "reply" to myself. Twice. I don't know how I did that

NB Both worlds may have in campaign variations from the published "stock" data.
Everything has variations from published material. Got to keep the players on their toes. (Also, don't want people with the books having an edge - better if it's a slightly misleading "rumour".
Thanks for putting up the info – I’ve been out all day.

No worries - happy to help!
However as per the "stock/public domain" info my favourite quote from the "grimdark" 40K (Inquisition) universe must surely apply:
"Everything you have been told is a lie".

BTW, I am flying overnight to Iceland. I go there frequently. Just 24 hr layover this time.
In case you hadn’t noticed…the character Tiv Thingvellir is heavily Icelandic themed

Tiglath-
I’m diggin’ the Led Zepplin lyrics!
I have a reputation at my airline for playing the opening stanza of Ozzie’s “Crazy Train” over the aircraft Public Address when I see the first passengers walking down the jetway to board.
