UAFS: The Courtyard Green
August 13, 2018 2pm
Stormy!
Joker, Roy, & Mac just manage to sneak over to the sidelines and keep under the highly distracted Ghosts' radar, though Squat looked like he was a little suspicious at first, then shrugged and turned his attention to what he, as well as the other ghosts, thought was going to be a very entertaining clobbering of the remaining two players at the line of scrimmage.
Red waste no time getting the undead team of sporty specters lined up and ready to deal some damage. Yeah! Look we got 'em scared! Haha! Let's show 'em what we can do! SET! HUT! HUT! The ball snaps and The Ghosts surge forward as Red steps back with the ball in hand laughing.
#2 just cannot move quickly enough!
#2 Moves: [2d6] = 8 G: [1d6] = 1 Muscle: [2d6] = 6 G: [1d6] = 3
...and gets plowed down into the saturated soil of the makeshift ball field!
Ghost Rolls:
Ghosts: collectively: Grrrrr...! Huh...?!
Red With eyes wide in disbelief: What the...?!
Lionel plows into Red and knocks him back a good five yards before he knows what hit him! The ball rolls back out of his hands as the Alpha of the group tried to figure out what just happened.
Squat yells out, Loose ball! Loose ball! Loose ball! as he jumps up and down trying to get the attention of the other ghost! Some ref...
Poor Julia looks exhausted but is still jumping up and down tumbling and doing summersaults as she involuntarily cheers on the Ghost and Boos her teammates!
All the reporters are on the scene now! GoPro Jerad has been on the scene since the beginning and Jamie was not far behind. The three of them are actively broadcasting from what you can tell. Bur and the reporter from the other local station have just finished setting up and are rushing to get their feed established as lightning strikes the rod on top of the Clock Tower just as it tolls ominously, signaling the end of the first quarter but of course, not the end of the final play!
Jason, having narrowly gotten through the line behind Lionel gets a slight advantage as the Ghost are distracted and confused from watching Lionel leap over them like a gazelle and is able to find a hole to push through, frustrating and surprising the offensive line even more. Jason sees the ball and is able to scoop it up just as Lionell takes out Red!
To be Clear, Lionel is not flat-footed here, and could certainly grab up the ball or you could choose to let Jason taken it and block for him. This is a moment when you need to decide what to do as far as who scoops up the ball. Whoever does, Moderate Moves, because you are not being challenged.... yet. So basically a free move. The roll will just be to see if you can grab the slippery wet ball. The following roll will be another Moderate Moves to race to the Endzone. Anything other than a complete failure will be points on the board.
Sideliners: I need to know what move you are preparing to make.
Score: 7 to 0 Ghostbusters
