Hey, sorry I haven't posted recently, I went to the Folsom Renaissance Faire over the weekend, and ran out of time to check in.

No problem, Spin.

Real life gaming takes precedence over internet gaming.

ChubbyPixie wrote:So, correct me if I’m wrong, OM, but even though Mr. Wrenly, through his psychic link to Chauncey, would be able to understand Entish, say, he wouldn’t be able to respond in anything but monkey, right? Also, is Jaxon able to understand monkey? I caught the hints that he was listening, but how could that be? WHAT IS HAPPENING?! :)
You are correct on Mr. Wrenly only being able to respond in monkey speak. Seems logical.

I think Jaxsen, being a monk, is trying to portray that he will soon be able to speak with animals himself, without the aid of magic. Not that he can actually understand what is being said right now. And unless I am mistaken, that's just good roleplaying in my book. :D

I thought that would be the case. I was just trying to push the line :D . Just following the advice of those well-known DnD players, Salt N' Pepa: Push It Real Good!

The whole idea of barricading the altar in the ruined temple reminded me of this:

Gamma World: We had been exploring some underground ruins, and found a set of stairs leading up to ground level. When we climbed the stairs, a set of cellar doors opened automatically, letting us out. A crew of androids was chasing us, so we ran up those stairs (door closes behind us). One of the players said "let's pile rubble on those doors!" Of course, when the androids came up the stairs, they got clobbered with rubble. We proceeded to pile another load of rubble on the doors while the GM rolled some dice, "Are they stupid enough to try it again?" They were, indeed, stupid enough.

"Sorry Gramble, I didn't quite hear you ... OH, DEAR LORD, WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THERE!", he exclaims as oily black smoke billows from the other room.
All I could think of with Andron and Gramble is this (if you haven't seen it there's an oven fire in the other room).

On a different vein: be honest, how many of you check OM's posts headings? Because it's really important to do it, you know? _:lol:

After picking up on a hint early on, I almost always do so now. In fact, I'd extend that to anything he writes no matter how insignificant it may first seem.
