Hello, folks! Sorry for the radio silence- I was at Who's Yer Con this weekend. I thought I could keep up with the stuff here, but it turns out I was way wrong! I'm sorry for any threads I may have held up.

As far as I can tell, I am the "weakest link" here.

Of course no 2 players are in the same place, so I have 7 posts to each 1 of yours.

Yeah, this is a crazy-intense game for a single person to run. Feel free to nudge us towards teaming up.

I think it will eventually happen naturally since I have started handing out hints to different adventure "threads" that are likely to require more than a single person to acomplish. The issue is which thread or threads will you choose to follow?

I've got no problems waiting. Just, after re-reading Monsieur Rose's post, I realized that I haven't stated Remy's intents clearly enough:).
So, to make it explicit, he intends to socialize with the petty officers, talk about life on ship and fights they've been in, possibly gain some friends if any of them seem the type that wouldn't betray their mothers for money;).

When the Ref can't even manage a rate of one post per week, it is time to just face the reality that I am too busy to run this game. Time to put this thing out of its misery and euthanize this game.
You all were great and I made some rookie mistakes and overextended myself.

Thank you for the game, I enjoyed it! Made me think a little, which is always good.

I've been there- and I hate the feeling. I'm cool with the updates as they are- but you know what you want. Please keep me in mind if you decide to try again.

This game has been fun. I've really enjoyed trying out Traveller in a non-stellar setting.

As a GM of several play by post games, I know the feeling of maybe having over extended.

If you decide to start up again, I'm all in (and if part of the startup is some GM fiat to bring us all together, I would be fine with that).

Well, I also was fine with the updates. But you know best your own situation, so you should do whatever is best for you!

Admittedly, I was also feeling a tad bit overextended, so I'll probably abstain from joining any new games until a couple others run to some kind of conclusion. But once that happens, and it's incredibly unlikely for all of them to persist, I'd be glad to apply for another game that you might be running, or even just playing in!

Sort of.

Some famous director whose name I don't remember said that Movies are like real life, with the boring parts removed. Games are intended to be the same way. One issue that I was running into is that having different groups in different places doing radically different things forced me to leave all of the boring parts in there to keep everyone in sync time wise. So I am going to fix that by "railroading" everyone to the same place and time so you can all interact and pick a path forward from there.

Since there are some things that Jacques and Remy were supposed to learn about the world that the "group" might want to know, my plan is to do a soft launch with just those two and get them to your location within 2 weeks of real time. So on Monday, July 8 I plan on having everyone together to begin the game with the full group and game time reset to a few weeks from where it stopped.

Sometime around the week of July 1 I expect to update all of the Gwynedd Characters to tie up loose ends and get them ready to hit the game running ... they will have spent several weeks in Gwynedd by then.

Sounds good to me.
