The Grizzly Woman swats the bear's muzzle away from the wolf carcasses and begins skinning a couple nearby. Once finished she plops a skinned wolf in front of the bear and lets him eat.

Foxy O'Hare

"Take all the pelts, their scent may mask ours if we need to sneak around any dens and hovels."

Foxy will dismount and lead her hamstrung horse by the reins until we camp.

"Let us press on but camp early I doubt pressing to the cave we know is so wise. We have no need to hurry. A good forest camp and hearty meal will heal our wounds. Clay can your feathered friend scout some thick woods for us?"

Foxy will make a point of encouraging the group and retainers, helping bind wounds. "It would be good to know what healing, divine or arcane we carry so we can plan ahead. I hope to be on the outskirts of the goblin HQ by tomorrow night and we all need to be in top health."

Foxy will also detail what she remembers of the cave we camped in before by the HQ.

Clay asks Maurice to scout the area for likely places for the group to camp for the night.
The wolf said we are on the edge of its territory. Other wolves will likely stay out for a few days until their scent grows old, so something near to this location is best. But anything is better than being in the wide open.
Clay then reports draws forth a vial of deep indigo fluid. A healing potion that can be taken in sips or all at once if the wound is more severe.

Standard healing potion. He also has one more CLW prepared. If nothing happens before we make camp, he will use it on the Bluebelle to heal the hamstring. Actually, what is the effect of Hamstrung? If it is 1/4 movement or less, he will tend to the horse now.

The group continues on southwest, Maurice the owl providing hoot-reports back to Clay as you travel. Finding your way to be clear, you continue on until the sun begins to dip towards the southern mountain range which looms above you, shadows slanting as the sun recedes out of the vales between the foothills you cross.

You find your way without getting lost, however, and as evening grows long, Foxy and Clay recognize the hilltop where they kept watch over the cave from their previous expedition. Maurice hoots a warning and the group peers cautiously over into the vale with the cave entrance. They see a distinct human skeleton, flesh picked from the ruddy-colored bones, lying in the field. The cleft-entrance in the facing limestone rock face is easily discernable by the dark soot-stains, a raging fire once within.

Four wargs, leather harnesses across their shoulders, pad around, stretching in the dimming light. With the fluttering of the bird and the downwind breeze, their attention turns towards the hilltop where you crouch. (No surprise, 110' away)

I thought we were staying in that area to camp...

Anyhow, the goblins will just be waking up/getting ready to ride out.

I don't have time to post IC, but if we all walk together toward them, they may hold still long enough for Clay to get in range to cast Entangle on them (80', I believe).

Foxy O'Hare

"Would be a good time to cast those healing spells on us Clay." says Foxy trying to spring into action mounting Bluebells and edging to the hiitop crest. She fires an arrow and then reverses up. Foxy: Shortbow normal range: [1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19 arrow damage: [1d6] = 4

"Target the same creature, plus we need stop the riders. Get flaming oil ready too, we can burn out those sheltering inside. If a rider sets off I'll go in pursuit"

How many entangle do you have, we haven't rested to study for new spells?

You can cast healing spells and such while travelling - that can be retroactive if desired.

I had asked a question earlier about the full effect of Bluebelle being hamstrung. If her movement was 50% or less, he was going to cast CLW on the horse. Or if she appeared to be much pain from the injury.
That would be his second (and final) CLW for the day. Clay has one more entangle. I will post actions once I know more about Bluebelle.

Bluebelle is at 3/4 movement, which doesn't slow the group rate.

Clay is fine saving the CLW for the rest of the day then.

Seeing the wargs looking back at them, Clay sighs. I think it's safe to say that this will end with a fight. Stay close this time. I will try to Entangle them from a distance and then Bless you all as they approach. He warns them to not approach the angry plants or they may be ensnared as well. He and Morr walk towards the wargs, asking the Grizzly Woman, Baxtaw and the bear to come too. As they approach, he tries to communicate with his body language that the wargs should stay where they are so the party can come to them. When they get to 80' away, Clay kneels with one hand on the earth, fingertips curled into her loamy flesh. He prays for her to awaken the plants outside the cave, thereby trapping the goblins inside and the wargs in the grasses in front of them.

So: try to get the wargs to stay put as we approach. If they do, cast Entangle as we approach.

Clay will be casting Bless next turn, so it would behoove you all to stay near enough to benefit from that.

Clay is has room for more damage without too much concern. He will cast CLW on Foxy during the walk.Cure Light Wounds [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3
Oh well.

Baxtaw- He will kneel behind Clay lay his bow beside him. He will then cast sleep upon those that do not become entangle in Clays spell.

The Grizzly Woman hangs back and crouches, keeping the bear by her side (defend order).

"Do you think they smell the wolf pelts?" she whispers.

The group moves forward cautiously behind Clay and Baxtaw. The wolves howl to alert their allies nearby as Clay reaches down and invokes the anger of the plants once more. There are yelps of alarm from the wolves as the brambles and grasses begin lashing about at them - two wolves are snared and trussed on the ground while two wolves leap free. Baxtaw then casts his own invocation, bringing slumber to the beasts. Perhaps aided by the sympathetic natural magic already in effect in the area, his spell overtakes all four wolves, who drop to the ground unconscious - all four now both asleep and bound.

The grasses writhe all the way to the cave entrance some yelling of voices faintly audible within.

Foxy hit a wolf on her previous action. With them all sleeping we need to finish them off. At least cutting the throats of the ones not entangled. With the roots grasping and writing, she is aware that will likely rouse those caught to awaken so her action will be too rude close and fire another arrow at one, preferably the same as sge hit before if still alive. Is there any bonus for firing at such prone entangled opponents?

Halfpint will attempt to finish off a sleeping wolf, something she swore to herself before migrating to Gaul she wouldnt do.

I dont think a roll is necessary against a sleeping foe, correct?
