Thorgrim cautiously reaches out and touches the glowing bolt. Is it solid? Can he pick it up? After a quick examination of the bolt he will attempt to un-nock the crossbow and join in searching through the refuse.

Ruken, relieved to see the immediate threat taken care of, gladly accepts the 'gift' with a smile and nod. "This will make for some excellent research later. I am very interested in making use of the creature's paralytic venom."

With treasure in tow, the gnome backtracks his way out of the cave, preferably behind someone as he leaves.

Many dig through the muck for spoils.
Throm finds, including the pony bridle, a red ruby, and 20 copper pennies.
Tyrion finds a leather pouch with 87 silver pieces in it!
Craxzus manages to grab 14 copper pennies.
Thorgrim examines his crossbow and, touching the ghostly bolt, it seems to absorb into his hand, up his arm, and into his body.
Eirenaios hands Ruken the remains of the creature, which doesn't smell any better cooked, and the group squeezes their way back out the tunnel and into fresh air. Everyone is covered in slime.

A bit of loot is good but the pony bridal makes me think they may have set on some loot a bit to big to get into that hole, a look around now that the threat is gone may be worth the time.

Ruken asks Craxzus, "So how much farther do we need to travel to get to the Alchemist?" And then to everyone in general, "If the group thinks we need a break, given enough room, I could 'set up camp'." The gnome winks as he says this, itching to make use of the treasure found earlier.

Throm responds :Now what bout that alchemist fella? We should get ta findin him."
Which Dram and Ruken seem to respond favorably to with Ruken wondering about making a camp first.
It's about mid day now which will have you reaching the alchemist lab just before sundown if there's no other issues.

"Hmm, that would put us at our end destination just before nightfall. Well, I don't really want to see what this place looks like at night; so, press on and rest later?" The gnome does sound a bit disappointed, but realizes that they cannot waste any daylight either. If the group seems to be still in good condition, minus the goop all over them, the gnome will follow Craxzus to the Alchemist.

Eirenaios gives this place a solid look then simply dismisses it as a place that couldn't possibly have any lost secret related to magic, and he gets excited over the thought of examining his new staff to see what powers it possesses, "To the Alchemist we go? I am ready

The group continues on their journey. The climb up the mountainside is difficult, even for the dwarves. But after four hours the rough terrain begins to smooth out. It becomes obvious soon after that you are walking an ancient road, paved perhaps centuries ago with cobblestone. It is badly aged and weathered with weeds breaking through the loose rocks, but easier to walk. Every once in awhile you spot what must be wagon wheel tracks, ground into the stones from years of travel. This road was once quite busy, perhaps a century ago.
Image
As the sun begins to set over the mountains, you start seeing ruins of ancient structures. The dwarves recognize the architecture as Dwarven make, even though it is badly dilapidated and the mountains woods have reclaimed much of it.
A noise ahead puts everyone on alert. The clatter of many legs on the rocks. A metal plated bug, identical to the one found earlier, climbs out of the woods and starts up the road toward one of the buildings, seemingly oblivious to your presence.
Image
Following it, the party reaches a stone structure with an open gateway. Two fallen pillars to either side have dwarven writing on them.

Image
Which translates to "Silver load of Brandis Bearstout of the Silver Fang clan. May his hammers ever ring in the deeps."
No dwarf here has ever heard that family name before.
The metallic insect enters the doors and skitters down a long hallway into darkness.

Thorgrim absently runs his hands over the pillars as he tries to recall anything about a Silver Fang clan. His father rubbed shoulders with many influential people and it seemed like he knew everyone. Had he ever mentioned or done business with a member of the Silver Fang clan?

Throm begins to look at the writing then is more awestruck by the metal spider? creature thing that wanders off in through the door. Then begins thinking as to if he remembers anything at all about the dwarf clan name mentioned in the writings on the pillars.

Eirenaios ponders the structure, "If dwarves were still living in this structure there is no way they would let it deteriorate to this state, clearly whoever once lived here is no more

He replies to Craxzus, "The insect didn't seem to have acknowledged our existence, I say we follow it to wherever it's going, unless he instructed you not to set foot into these ruins?"
