Dungeon Master:

As Arn turns the first key in the lock, Jenks, Teladrin, Elusev & Arn get a nasty Surprise when Darts rains down from the ceiling !

Arn: 2 Darts: To Hit: [1d20+8] = 13+8 = 21 Damage: [1d4] = 4
To Hit: [1d20+8] = 9+8 = 17 Damage: [1d4] = 2

Elusev: 2 Darts: To Hit: [1d20+8] = 7+8 = 15 Damage: [1d4] = 3
To Hit: [1d20+8] = 16+8 = 24 Damage: [1d4] = 3

Jenks: 2 Darts: To Hit: [1d20+8] = 12+8 = 20 Damage: [1d4] = 1
To Hit: [1d20+8] = 13+8 = 21 Damage: [1d4] = 2

Teladrin: 1 Dart: To Hit: [1d20+8] = 19+8 = 27 Damage: [1d4] = 1

'Yow! Confuddled…! Damned blazing fiendish…! Blasted…!' Arn yanks the darts out of his body and rubs his head, curses rumbling from beneath his moustache.

'Is everyone alright?'

I just noticed that I never updated Arn's health from 6 back up to 11 after the last fight, which would've been 8 days ago in game (4 days to Galversharn's lair and 4 days back to the kobold lair). We weren't really 'at rest' during the trip, so what should his current hits before the trap be?

Elusev grabs the darts from his shoulder and arm as well, blood flowing down from the wounds and his face in some pain, "Well, I hope they weren't poisoned..." He looks to the others that got hit, trying to see any effects that may mean poison, "I am fine for now. Shall we continue? The sooner we are done with this place the better..."

Cayley

"I can attempt to bind your wounds, though admittedly I haven't been very successful to date with my healing knowledge." The priestess pulls some bandages our of her backpack and sets to work on whomever takes her up on her offer.

[Let me know and I'll see if I can fail the rolls (again)]

Dungeon Master:

Everyone was back to full health prior to re-entering the Lair....you healed 1 HP a Day plus the Healers would have healed you along the way & back.

Cayley should have all her healing spells.

It does not say if using the Healing proficiency actually heals .... so i will say it stops the bleeding & heals back 1 HP.

ARN: 6 HP Damage - 1 HP for Cayley's Bandaging = 5 HP

ELUSEV: 6 HP Damage - 1 = 5 HP

JENKS: 3 HP Damage -1 = 2 HP

TELADRIN: 1 HP Damage - 1 = 0 HP, Just a scratch.

"That was a nasty little surprise. I'd check things out a bit more perhaps going forwards if I were you", qips the Doctor. He thinks - Not sure that was too constructive though but I bet they check things out really good now. "Perhaps we can let the trap finders work ahead of the group a bit on their own so we just have to heal them up if something goes wrong further on? Once it's clear, everyone moves up to support them?"

Dungeon Master:

Will Arn go ahead & keep trying the other keys in the previous order that was listed ?!

Elusev nods to the Doctor, "Whoever can check these doors, walls, floors, and ceiling for traps please do. I would hate for us to defeat all of our opponents, only to be done in by a simple trap and no foresight."

"Thanks Cayley," Teladrin says as the priest tends his wounds.

Arn steps away from the door.

'Yes, somebody with keener eyes than me please check for traps down this corridor. Another incident like that could have more a seriously negative effect on our venture. In the meantime, I can lay hands on anyone who might need it.'

What would I need to roll in order to check for traps within the corridor?

Dungeon Master:

For everyone with Find/Remove Traps Thieving ability it is a 1d100 roll & depending on your level the chance gets better to find/remove them.

Just tell me where you are looking then give me a 1d100 roll !

Procyon decides to check the ceiling of the corridor they are about to enter.
Find/Remove Traps: [1d100] = 7

Um, since in this game 1 is consider crit success, this is a good roll right? (crosses fingers)

Dungeon Master:

For a 1D100 roll that certainly is a critical success.

Thus Procyon sees that the ceiling is lined with holes in the area around the door Arn tried to enter !

You however can not spot the trigger of this trap, itself.

Tuireann & Jenks can also do the Find/Remove Traps checks.

Tuireann is waiting outside with Tewahutes.

Procyon cried out while observing the ceiling. "Sweet Sticky Molasses, this corridor is loaded! Gentlemen, I advise caution."

Arn takes a cautious step back.

'Well, that's a situation, I'd say. Do we have any thin rope or string? We could try tying the end to a key and turning it by pulling on the string from afar. Otherwise, the only solution I can see is to walk around with shields over our heads.'

He hesitates for a moment, wondering if he should try opening the door now or wait until further precautions against traps can be made.

Elusev looks around in his pack, "I just have a regular rope, 50 feet of it. Perhaps we can use that to try and open doors that may be attached to these traps..."

Cayley

"Are you thinking that we can turn the key using rope?" She pauses, "Seems a bit unlikely. Can no one examine the lock to see if the trap can be disarmed? Else it seems we have enough people that we could try the keys one at a time while everyone stood back. I'd think we could heal anyone wounded, then let someone else give it a go. Perhaps it would be wise to hold a shield over ones head. Thoughts?"

"Well Jenks it looks like it is up to you to disable that trap if you can. Either way once you try I'd say step back and let one of those burly fighter types give the keys a try again after they've been healed up", says The Doctor "Everyone else should be back here out of that tunnel. The warrior should have a shield over head if possible."

The Doctor make room for the others to come back past him through the door. He also hugs the wall in case any arrows come flying back through the door he'll be shielded by the door frame.
