What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
Is anyone around here interested in running a Rifts campaign from Palladium Books? i have a couple of books from the system here so i was planning to be the GM but in the end i think i don't know enough of it to successfully run a game. I though about opening a thread at The Giant in the Playground forums too since they have a lot more users than here but what they have in quantity the lack in quality, 80% of the games started there never finishes.
So if anyone is interested in running a serious and consistente Rifts game to the finish let me know.
Regards

Any interest in 5th edition D&D Forgotten Realms, playing a pre-gen character right out of the box?

Would like to have you on board, but your gaming plate does indeed look full!
Found a 5th player and will likely be running the game on here for archiving purposes and of course, the dice roller.

If anyone decides to start something from the Demon Wars Reformation game system I'd be inclined to play.

Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
I recently closed up my 4-year PbP over at Dragonsfoot...I'm ready to try something new.
I'd like to run a 'set-piece' campaign, centered around a module or group of modules. I'm currently considering:
1.) X1 Isle of Dread, but also placing C1 Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan and I1 Dwellers of the Forbidden City on the island. Not sure if I'd use BECMI or AD&D for this (probably the latter).
2.) A1-A4 Slave Lords series (with some modifications). I'd use 1E AD&D for this.
3.) Expedition to the Barrier Peaks (significantly modified; the internal maps are a nightmare). I'd use 1E AD&D for this.
Any interest in any of these, from people who haven't already played 'em?

I'd love to play Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, but I've been thinking about running it when my Ravenloft or Tomb of Horrors games are done, so I know it a little too well right now. Still, it'd be fun to see someone run it on here. It's probably my favorite goofy module.

I'd play in Slave Lords or the Peaks if you'd have me.
I've often thought that a modified EttBP would be a fun one to play on here.

I'd do any except the slave lords (that was the first series of modules I ever read, back when I was first introduced to RPGs).

Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
I have never played or read any of those (X1 came in the Expert set correct? If so I did read it but many years ago.) and would be up for any of them, although I would LOVE to play the Slave Lords series.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. I was in Spartakos previous campaign (from day 1) and it was one of the best I've ever been in. He runs a great game and spins a fantastic setting to boot. You won't be disappointed if you join this new game.

I'd prefer them in the order listed: 1,2,3. But cool with any one of them.Spartakos wrote:Hey Brandon! I actually have several in my collection. I am trying to work them into the Forgotten Temple of Thurizdun Thread. In fact I have been mapping out levels of the underdark on graph paper for a while now to add to expand the temple into the underdark. I have half a dozen completed so far. The Temple thread is really my most thought out and well developed game I am running, I just have less time to admin it lately since Im back in college.
Also I have the Dungeoneer's Survival Guide. Which extensively depictes and explains the underdark and how to run it as a DM.

Any fans of BRP/Magic World? (basically Chaosium's old Elric!/Stormbringer game with all of the Moorcock stripped out). I'd be interested in playing and as I get more experienced with it running a face-to-face game I think it's something I might like to run myself here if there's enough interest.

To play:
Adventures Dark & Deep from BRW Games - have wanted to try that system for a while.
And has anyone ever played the Anomalous Subsurface Environment module? Or Castle of the Mad Archmage?

It just so happens that I've been toying with trying to run a game...and was going to go with ASE or Stonehell Dungeon.Mister-Kent wrote:ASE is on my wishlist! If i get it, I'd love to play
I was thinking of ASE with the Dungeon Crawl Classics rules though.

I only ever played DCC once at GaryCon - and we somehow never even got as far as combat. But I like the system and have always wanted to give it another shot. If you get around to starting up your ASE game I'd definitely be interested.Dogma wrote:ChubbyPixie wrote:And has anyone ever played the Anomalous Subsurface Environment module? Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
ASE is high on my wish list! I even wrote a microlite20 hack of it, including new races and a DCC-style funnel: http://abominablefancy.blogspot.com/search/label/AES
I'd run it if I felt I could do justice to a second campaign (I can't), but as it is, I'd be more than up for playing, and will jump to whatever ruleset the DM prefers.
