Action Thread 10
Re: Action Thread 10
Son of Thunder will get that end-of-round attack.
To hit: [1d20+2] = 18+2 = 20, damage with WS spear, large: [1d8+3] = 5+3 = 8
Ooorah!

Al'Zur responds "Out of oil, but sure, light it up."
The elf stays well away from melee, and answers, "Sure, 'iffin you can get here."

Re: Action Thread 10
Varkos sees his attacks are getting through so stays toe-to-root with the tree:
Longsword [1d20+3] = 2+3 = 5 Dam [1d8+5] = 5+5 = 10
Longsword [1d20+3] = 19+3 = 22 Dam [1d8+5] = 1+5 = 6

I have a couple PMs out, I hope to resolve this today or tomorrow morning.
Thanks!

Flush from a tremendous strike, the Ranger seems to ignore his pain and blood loss in a flurry of aggressive abandon!

Day 2 – 7:22 a
Round 7 –
Son of Thunder chips off a good chunk of tree bark on the tree ahead of him attacking with his spear, as the tree lights up, to end up Round 6.
Zafalia offers a light or some healing as she continuously moves away from the tree coming at her.
Al’Zur accepts the offer of a light… but Zafalia is a bit far away for that.
Meanwhile Varkos misses with his first swipe of the sword.
But Son of Thunder lands a hard stab with his spear, actually knocking the tree back a few steps. As pieces of bark fly in every direction the tree, engulfed in flames, falls to the ground (causing the druidess to dodge out of its way) and the parts of the tree that hit the stream sizzle and steam rises in the room.
Son of Thunder moves toward the tree following Zafalia, which also moves toward him. But during this time the tree in front of Varkos flails its branches toward him, one branch is able to get through his defenses causing 4HPs of damage.
Angered by being bloodied by a tree, Varkos fights back striking home with his sword and seeing a satisfying chunk of sappy bark fly.
The ranger also is able to jump into the water, meeting the tree there, and gets an attack in chipping away at that tree. But now that tree is in position to attack the ranger next round. As the flames die down to the south of Varkos that tree moves up to attack as well.
Someone please roll initiative. Everyone attacks on initiative for upcoming Round 7. The tree in front of Al’Zur is fully engulfed in flames.
Please make your corresponding rolls with your action calls thanks all!

Re: Action Thread 10
His path to Al'Zur and Varkos blocked, Wulfgard will smack a tree with his mace.
Mace (THAC0 20): [1d20] = 20, Damage: [1d4+1] = 3+1 = 4
There's still one on fire in front of him I think, but Wulfgard doesn't have a way to light it except by ruining his lantern.

Re: Action Thread 10
Seeing that the evilly-inspired tree that was following her turned to attack Son of Thunder, Zafalia will move quickly towards the southern wall and then over to where Varkos is fighting the other two trees at the eastern passageway exit.
The little halfling druid will look to pass by the southernmost evilly-influenced tree and get to Al'Zur to cast a cure light wounds spell. "Healing is finally here, friend!"
Cure Light Wounds spell [1d8] = 4
OOC: marking off CLW spell!

Round 8 –
Many apologies to you all. My 3yo’s surgery went okay, the recovery was rough. Then there was a merger at work, then there was me banning my own IP in the midst of getting rid of 15 spam posts… gotta remember that just because Alethan makes it seem like duck soup, doesn’t mean it is! Anyway, my apologies again, I’m not going to say that there won’t be some issues with Christmas coming, but I’ll certainly be better than I have. Unless there's any objections, I'm going to have Odo and Rake wander off. That'll leave us with six characters which should be good. Thanks everyone.
Illhalevar sings a tree chopping song as she keeps watch.
The ranger stabs again with his spear, furious at the bad miss he gets.
Wulgard on the other hand went wading in with mace landing a solid thwack and denting the bark nicely, but the creature still attacks!
Varkos fells the tree in front of him with another blow from his sword. This is exactly the distraction that the druidess needed to get past the tree to Al’Zur and to cure the elf.
Though offered another target, the tree in front of Son of Thunder and Wulfgard continues to attack the ranger. But all of its branches are unable to connect at all.
While the tree in front of Varkos misses so badly he doesn’t even have to dodge the branches!

Someone please roll initiative. For upcoming Round 9 specialists attack first and last in the round, everyone else attacks on initiative. The flames on all the trees is starting to die down, it’s smoky and darker, but there’s enough light with the moss and the embers to see.
