Port Llast - The Quarry
Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Ari peers over Raz's shoulder looking at the writing in the ledger. She reads the words with interest. *Barbarians,* she thinks and wonders if any still live nearby. It seems she has involved herself in a dire situation. The story of her life, she shrugs. Her da always said a job didn't get any easier putting it off, so they best deal with it as soon as possible.

Mag
Mag keeps silent with his thoughts that he would like to help, but differs in the thought process of most of the group given that we did not create the undead, we did not anger the undead and we did not free the undead.

Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Trell rubs his face and eyes as if to wake himself up from a dream...or a nightmare more like.
"I can't ask ye to risk yer lives in this hole...but I wouldn't have ye go just by yerselves. There be a small force of guards from Neverwinter stationed in town; a few may be willing to go...assuming there be sommat in it fer them. If they don't wanna, there be me own quarrymen who may feel obliged to help ye. Yer prolly thinking why don't the priest go, eh? Well, he has a parish to run, folk who depend on him."
He takes a deep breath and lets it all out at once with "And if'n no one else will help ye, I sure as hell will! Me pappy would skin me alive if'n I turned me back on ye...especially having come all this way, risking yer lives fer me men."

Moan
"I won't turn down help, but we need someone to stay behind who know what went on here in case we fail. They will need to get more help if we don't come back out."

Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Ari listens to the conversation thinking a few heavily armed guardsmen might be just the thing to keep between herself and undead, "Perhaps we should discuss the issue with the guardsmen. A few extra swords is rarely a bad thing."

Raz "I would be inclined to accept any help we can get in the matter."

Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Trell nods and is about to send two of his workers to ask the Neverwintan guards for help, when calls from outside the shop ring out. Stepping outside, you see a large number of people gathering in the quarry. Several bear the sigil of Neverwinter and are obviously part of the militia stationed here. A young man bearing a jagged scar down one side of his face steps forward and says, "We heard you had some trouble this morning, Trell. We came to see if we could help."
His bearing speaks to his rank and perhaps, to his profession. He notes the newcomers to town and introduces himself. "I am Duncan, captain of the militia from Neverwinter. How can we be of service to you today?"

"I am Moan, Ranger of the North. When this door was opened a ghost rose. We are just discussing how best to deal with it. Any help we can get would be welcome."

Quite pleased to see the unexpected arrival of the soldiers, Ari gives them a winsome smile and an elegant bow before introducing herself, "Arilynne, at your service, gentlemen. But I just go by Ari."

Raz nods "Indeed all aid we can get in this matter would help."
