Best place to watch American Football in London is...
1.
Wembley, when the NFL actually brings the game there. Not sure
when they are gonna do it this year, but I bet they do.
2. On the television, a place called
The Sports Cafe. Dont know much about it, but that's what the web says.
3. NFL Game Pass (I think that's what its called) on the web, for those who cant live without ALL the games.
(Go to NFL.com for more info , and the exact name)
I'm not nearly as big an American Football fan as I used to be. (And I still root for the Chiefs)
But, with exceptions....Too many overpaid players, greedy owners, criminal newsmakers, lawyers & unions, etc...
College football is just an extention of that too.
You will find more heart and soul attending a SemiPro level game. They are the real stars, but you gotta hunt them out, because the media isn't going to promote them.

You know who SUX at sports? Trogloytes! And I hear the O'hare Jackrabbits (get it? Hare... rabbits

) kick ass this year! So throw them trogs the pigskin and let's see who scores the most homeruns! It's hat trick time!
(Before I'm barraged with ridiculing laughter, yes I know I combined a few sports there

)

Now that we are on the subject of Trogs playing football...
Everyone needs to have played BloodBowl from GamesWorkshop at least once.

I might even use the 'gameday' as a Setting for a campaign here. Someday

Could Gryehawk possibly have such a thing? Stay tuned.

Congratulations to dmw for being the only, non-moderator, Ranger Lord here on US. Not bad, not bad.

??? Why... Why would you go to England and then watch American Football?
I can barely stand to watch it when I'm in the states.

Not me !!!!
Just trying to get saalaria good seats on the 50 yard line early.
Saalaria? Ever heard of that bar? Sports Cafe? How far are you from Wembley?

I have heard of sports cafe but we have nfl on either 'normal' tv or satellite aand have done since the mid 80s so watching it is easy - hence why I have seen a lot. I have been to 3 of the Wembley games over the years - its not too far from me.
Sounds like the same problems we have in our football - that's why I don't support a premier league team!
Ah and Blood Bowl - takes me back. I have the original game in the loft somewhere. Dwarf teams overpowered so it was always a fight to pick them first!

Oh, wait.
I just wonder how long it is before Alethan becomes the Ultimate Ranger Overlord?

Who says I ain't already?
Unfortunately, after some discussion it was felt there was a need to make the indication of one being a moderator more noticeable, so we lost our posting titles in lieu of that one.

I would think that you would need at least 5,000 posts before reaching U.R.O. status.

Yeah... you're probably right.
Almost there, though. Just think of how many posts I'd have if I ran a game, too...

I know, I know...
I have a lot of things on my RL plate that I can't (or won't) take off, though, and they're fairly time consuming. As of right now, I wouldn't be able to do a game much justice, so I'd rather hold off until I can.
When I do, though, it's going to be small. 3-4 people, probably picked by me, based on forum experience. Or maybe based on forum inexperience? Not sure what might be better for a test module - running a game with complete strangers or with people I consider friends.
Was recently trying to remember my DM style from back in the day and evaluate how it would work in the PbP format (and just how my style might have changed due to the vast DM influences I've been subjected to over the last three years).
The other thing is, I really wanted to try and use DMing as an opportunity to test out some stuff ToniXX and I are working on. But, truth be told, I've not had any time to work on those write-ups lately.
There aren't enough hours in the day...

I'm on my phone, so searching through the rules isn't easy, but don't you have a +1 adjustment from your Constitution? If so, four is easy enough to divide in half.
If not, I'll have to look it up and respond later.

The cost to pay for training upon level advancement will be calculated as follows:

Who rolls the d4?

Shannigans .....also advances to level 2, which will be free.
Does this mean that additional training is free? skills and abilities?
