Rolled initiative using my die at home. Bobwhite able to communicate as his turn was superseded last turn.
Bobwhite walks towards Odlo, delicious biscuit extended. "Odlo! You aren't yourself! Here, I saved you a biscuit!" he cries out.
GM rolls dice.
"Thank you friend! We shall enjoy it together once you have joined me in our destiny!" cries Odlo.
Wenyld moves to attack the nearest dwarf-skeleton. She swings high. Very high. The force of her swing carries her into a pirouette a ballerina would be proud of
fumble!. It would be a hilarious sight if the situation were not so serious.
The skeleton injured by Yarnold stabs at its aggressor with its spear.
Its weapon pierces the throat of the unfortunate tax collector, killing him as his longsword clatters on the ground!
Rimilda advances on the skeleton that slayed Stirling. The anemic swing of her club finds its target with an anemic swing.
-1 hp.
Two of the dwarf skeletons move to guard the door on the far side of the room as Sully dashes for it. One manages to intercept Sully with a thrust of its spear. It finds its mark, skewering the hapless elf, killing him instantly!
Dwarf attacks Sully [1d20+1]=14+1=15 damage [1d6]=6
Another dwarf skeleton advances on Wenyld. It too strikes well, but the dextrous orphan just manages to evade the strike
Thank Ildavir for the +2 agility modifier!
Dwarf attacks Wenyld [1d20+1]=10+1=11 damage [1d6]=4
Wenceslas bobs back and forth, attempting to distract the tortoise as he attacks it with his pick. The dwarf strikes nothing but stone. Nordman looks for a way to attack Odlo, but realizes trying to jump on his back could expose him to a bony tail swipe.
If anyone wants to try to get on the tortoise's back to attack Odlo in melee, they will need to make a DC 10 agility check then attack roll. Of course, Odlo is open to a ranged attack.
Palermo joins the fray. He stabs his pitchfork at the southernmost skeleton dwarf. The tines pierce the leather armor...the farmer lifts the skeleton off the ground and brings it crashing to the ground. Bones shatter and scatter as the animating force of the skeleton is extinguished!
Sisyphus, with his newfound bone-club, thunks the chest of Yarnold's slayer for minimal damage
-1 hp. I seem to recall Sisyphus taking a short sword. Make sure to update your character sheet and roll an attack with that next round if you like.
Bilberta also moves into the fray. She swings a mighty strike with her newfound battleaxe, but it misses her target wide by a couple feet.
Margit is last to move into the fight. As he does, he faces an attack from another skeleton dwarf. The blade finds its mark, but fortunately for Margit the spear gashes his arm, leaving him alive.
-1 hp, taking him to 2. Margit returns the attack with a swing of his shovel, but it bounces harmlessly off the skeleton's cracked leather armor.
Last to attack is the skeletal tortoise. Its large jaws open towards Nordman and catch the poor wizard's apprentice around the waist. It is a gruesome but quick death.
Tortoise attacks Nordman [1d20+3]=19+3=22 damage [1d6]=5
Odlo makes no attacks, but continues to survey the room. It seems his bad eyesight keeps him from knowing exactly what's occuring, but when he hears of injuries to the party, he cries
"Yes! Yes! Embrace your destiny my friends!"
Wow. Enemies had good rolls this round. Feel free to narrate the deaths of Nordman, Yarnold, and Sully.
Rimilda and Sisyphus are engaged in melee with the injured skeleton D1.
Wenceslas is facing off against the tortoise.
Margit, Wenyld, and Bilberta are fighting two dwarves. Palermo and Bobwhite are not engaged currently fight. Zygmund and Xerxes will appear at the doorway at the end of the next round.
Target for the skeleton dwarves is AC 11, for the tortoise AC 13. Don't forget to burn luck if you're close! As they say, the PCs can't take it with them!
