Gwilt notices what
Shannigans has been doing with his food.
"Shanny, didn't anyone ever tell you it's impolite to play with your food? What exactly is it you're doing there, lad?" Shocked that anyone is concerned about any of his artistic creations,
Shannigans begins speaking a mile-a-minute.
"This is the goblin cave. I beg your forgiveness for such a crude map, but I wanted to show it in three-dimension.

Now with peoples attention, he continues:
"See this rise here, in the bread? The tunnel inside bends just like this, up and down and around. This here carrot is showing a T section that I was able to spot, but I didnt want to dilly-dally too long." Gwilt congratulates
Shannigans on a fine representation.
"Well, we will just have to explore that area a bit further, then. My only concern is that if the snarks buggered out of there, they took any treasure with them. Still... Who knows what we might find. Unfortunately," Gwilt lowers his voice so that just Shanny can hear,
"it sounds like we're about to get caught up in something here... I dare say you aren't clumsy enough to have dropped your utensils that far away. What did you find out snooping around under there?" Shannigans informs the ranger that his tactic didn't reveal anything.
Addressing the obvious subject to a wider audience,
Shannigans asks:
"What's going on here anyway? Why is everyone acting weird? The question seems to strike a chord as
Garth wonders aloud
"It seems to me that these folk are scared of something. Everyone is keeping to themselves, not wanting to be associated with anything that might get them in trouble. The big question is: Who or What are they afraid of." Upon hearing the word "trouble,"
Strom ties the two situations together:
"I concur we must wipe out the taint of evil in the caves, treasure or no treasure. We must also find the root of what is wrong here as well and cleanse it."
Epsilon performs an impressive oration in an attempt to inspire the down-trodden locals but finds his words fall on deaf ears. Even his purchase of a round of drinks for those remaining in the room returns little more than a raised glass in thanks.

Epislon (-3gp) and
Alordan (-2gp) split the nightly payment.
Alordan collects
Epislon's coins and rises from the table. He approaches Gustov:
"Gustov, payment for the rooms. Let's discuss the details, shall we?" and pulls him aside toward the bar in a friendly manner for all the room to see
(PM forthcoming). Gustov reminds the party their rooms are 7, 8 and 9; at the top of the stairs on the right, before being pulled aside by the ranger.

Thinking ahead to the nights stay,
Ewell offers:
"Folks, shall we draw lots as to who bunks with whom?

What are the plans regarding the sleeping arrangement and any potential watches?
