gives up his weapons to the guard but try to keep three darts hidden.

Loyn sets his injured friend down, he wraps his battle axe and gives the other weapons to the guard. He picks him back up and heads toward the inn.

The gate guard does not check anyone over thoroughly at this hour, allowing those wishing to sneak in small weapons to do so.

"If you plan to continue your search at first light, then go get some sleep......wait WHAT did you say? GNOLLS? Near the Keep? THAT is something that needs to be reported to Sabine first thing in the morning."

“Yesh, that’sh right. Your old pal Devereau ish in charge now. And yesh, the Keepsh been attacked a few timesh in the pasht, moshtly by the monshters from thoshe damn cavesh.”

Bells toll from the towers as the group makes its way back up the trail leading to the Keep. Sabine opens the gate and the first person you see is Mrs. Peppy, standing there with her arms folded, a mean look on her face.

“Oh shite.” Peppy mumbles under his breath, knowing Tarlac must have already spilled the proverbial beans about his mini-vacation in the wild.

“You folksh’ll cover for me, I hope?”

Gyb hopes to avoid serious questioning by Mrs Peppy, but is willing to vouch for "Monsters in bushes and many gnolls" if questioned. He hands over his javelins to Sabine slowly, trying to avoid eye contact with the angry wife.

He whispers to Peppy, “We got your back! Loyn keeps his battle axe and puts the safety ribbon on the blade. He nods at Mrs Peppy,“Ma’am”.

The angry gnomish woman fakes a smile. “Hello again, Bugs. I thank you and your friends for bringing my little wanderer home to us. Hopefully this won’t happen again while you are visiting. Stop by for dinner one night while you’re here, won’t you?”

Penelope grabs Peppy by his ear and starts pulling him towards their home.

Sabine gets all the details about the nearby gnolls from Gyb, logging it all down in her ledger.

Bugs will go check on the Egg before meeting people at the tavern.
