Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
Does the door swing out towards us, or in towards the cell?
Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
Cosmo knows he has no spells that can assist against undead like this and moves towards the back out out the way.
He looks on the floor for a log or stone he can hand forward that can go in front of the cage to make it harder to open.

Sigrid
Though not especially adept with missile weapons, she switches to her sling.
Attack: [1d20]=9
Damage vs. small: [1d4+1]=3+1=4
Damage vs. large: [1d6]=6+1

Gideon
Gideon will uncork his vial of holy water and pour it on the bars, hoping it will have some effect when the zombies attempt their next bash. Falling back, and then readying shield and morningstar in case they break through.

Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
That’s a cool idea.
We will keep a lookout chain of miners stationed along the halls while this encounter happens allowing Bucko to stay in contact with the group if something big comes his way.
“I…………have an idea! But I’m not actually sure if this will work.”
Some might say Sven has a growing penchant for making already bad situations even worse. All in the name of discovery, of course. When the zombies move back from the bars to regroup, he pulls a small magic box out of his belt pouch and thrusts it between the bars with both hands, opening the lid once it’s inside the cage. Then he quickly backs away to allow the mayhem to begin.
(Trying his Troll-in-the-Box theory, likely to either detrimental or hilarious effect.)

Orgoth
Seeing what Sven is up to Orgoth, "Get some torches and oil up here now, we are going to need them!"
If this goes badly he will drop his crossbow and switch to his Silver Spear anticipating the worse.

Barrowmaze: Trolling the Zombies.
Gideon anoints the cell bars, cracking open a flask of holy water, it will cause splash damage at least upon those who press against it. Sling stones and harsh words are slung, Copperpiece adds his two-pennies worth, loading his crossbow but there is little room for everyone to manoeuvre. Sir Dewey can pull his squire behind him as the zombies rally a secord surge. Sven hopes not double the trouble, feeding a hand through the bars.
I think before, the zombies had grasped gargoyle arm that contained the box when it was carried by the unseen servant but Smokie snatched it back. Now, the box is just fixed to the gargoyle palm not the whole arm, so passing it through it not a problem.
Ravenous Dead beat down Cell door vs 1-2 [1d6]=2
The Ravenous surge, barging the door as Sven stands the other side, the press is enough to bust open the rusted tenon lock but he manages to flip open the lid and immediately a diminutive troll springs forth. The creature, warty and fierce, regenerated from the beast burned in the 'bunk room', regrown from a toenail and now as it launches itself, it magnifies in size and strength. Spread-eagled with arms stretching in increasing width, it lands upon the front rank of Ravenous.
They immediately tear and rip at the troll beast who released from his enchanted oubliette, rampages himself amongst them.

actions please.

Cosmo is somewhat surprised and is just watching, then grabs his 60' of rope.
"If we have a chance do we want to tie this around the gate, give us a bit more time?

"Get that fire up here, we may need it to corral the troll back into the box."
He readies his spear.

Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
Stepping away from the front of the cage, and probably behind Orgoth, Sven smirks initially, until he sees the gate getting bashed in. “Oh, shit.”
Unsure if he can actually control the troll or not, he tries to find out, commanding it in common and pointing. “Eliminate those zombies!”
He then pulls his strange looking plague mask over his face to call forth even more help to contain this situation. Guessing he will summon the local rats, at least he knows they should be under his control once they arrive.
Monster Summoning I
“I don’t think the troll will fit back inside the box. Last time we had to kill it first, slice off a fingernail, then burn the body.”

Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
The cell door busts open as the zombie press at the bars after being provoked by missile attacks. Sven releases the 'troll-in-a-box' which leaps into the fray to land upon the undead mob, killing the injured zombie. (Z9).
Inside the cell a frantic and bloody melee of teeth and claws erupts:
Ravenous need 12+ to hit, Troll needs 6+:
Resolution:
The victorious ravenous zombies rejoice in tearing apart the innards and outtards of the troll, stuffing famished faces with trollish sweetmeats, warty rump nuggets, flesh on the bone and racks of ribs covered in lung and spleen sauce.
The decapitated head is gnawed upon but as its ear is chewed, another begins to sprout in its place. The troll-head screams in unbearable pain, a hellish continual tearing to its body and soul as the perpetual Ravenous, cursed themselves to never be satisfied, banquet upon the ever replenishing feast.
"Surely the 'worm dies not and the fires are never quenched'." quotes a Yggish proverb.
Actions please
Sven summons a swarm of rats, the rodents rushing from under the Rat Room door or from among the Charnel Crypt bones. It adds to the squeaking, screaming, gnashing mayhem.

Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
As soon as his rats arrive, Sven commands them to attack the remaining zombies while they feast.
“Well, gang. That didn’t go nearly as bad as I thought it might. Once the rats are done, we will need to keep that troll dead until we can figure out how to dispose of it. After I take another fingernail, that is.” Sven pats his magic box, hoping it works again, eventually.
“I want to check these walls, floors, and ceiling carefully inside the cell before we move on. We’ve found surprises all through this dungeon so far, and this place just screams of secret doors to me.”

Re: Barrowmaze: Territorial Gains.
Sir Dewey
He stands fixated on the unbridled chaos that has occurred. "By Ygg." His only words are a short prayer.
Keeping Copperpiece behind him, he advances on the scene, careful to avoid stepping on the newly added rats. Eventually, he finds his voice again.
"I don't know what to attack first. The zombies are occupied by eating the troll, but if we kill them the troll will regrow....oh gods... can someone shut them up!?!" He yells over the unbearable dinn of the screaming, chittering, squealing, and gnashing.
"We're going to attract other attention. Keep on guard."

With the press of zombies to clatter the bars as you put your hands through, can you add a dex save to keep hold if it please.Sven pats his magic box, hoping it works again, eventually.

Orgoth
Orgoth continues to watch the mayhem of the feasting zombies.
Is there one near the door he can attack with his spear?
