Tlachtga keeps her meager coin pouch in her hand , not being used to having people so tight around her. "Yes, as my friend said, exotic animals perhaps a bear or large cat."

Re: The Lost Tavern
The Lost Tavern
The Ethereal Plane
Alordan just stares at it all, unable to say a word for some reason. (and delaying these updates)
The others are all quick to watch their belongings in this crowd, even though some in the group have very little themselves.
Cresty tries the oldest trick in the book to get some free space, but none of the market urchins fall for it. Lerrick offers thoughts and prayers that do nothing to fill the children's empty bellies.
Tlachtga gets a strange reaction when asking the random passerby about a bear. "That I wouldn't know. Try the circus maybe? Good day and good luck."
Andron digs deep into his own nearly empty purse, gathering all that he has to offer. He hands it to the oldest boy of the group and gets a shocked reaction. "Holy CRAP! Thanks, mister! Heck ya we can show you around the market! Where do you want to go first?"
The urchins watch the antics of the homely ranger carefully, as if he were mesmerizing them with a magic trick. When he adds to the collections, they smile at the young man, gathering around him as much as Andron, ready to protect their new marks from the dangers of this strange new world they've discovered.
The largest (oldest?) girl of the pack takes a liking to the generosity, sticking closely to Theo's side now. "Ya! What Bobo said! We can show you around. Where should we go first? The weapons are closest, but we know where the circus is, too. Oh! And if yer gonna get something to eat, maybe we can have any scraps you leave behind?"

Alordan smirks at the delight in the children's eyes. "If you lead us around like you say, I'm happy to help your group with meals - maybe a night at an Inn for you all also. Who runs this place, if anyone, do you know?"
Sorry for delay!

Theo has never had the attention of any girl before. Even a dirty one in rags. His face gets bright red under his rather thin reddish beard. Uh... err... well... right, to the weapons market then!

Re: The Lost Tavern
The Lost Tavern
The Ethereal Marketplace
Aliendron asks the children to lead the way to the weapons, thinking nothing odd about his request after all the hardships his group has been through.
The group of 9 kids vary in age from around 6 or 7, to their early teens. They share a strange means of communication that none of you recognize, complete with darting eyes and jerking head movements. None of them actually speaks to each other, only to you or other passers-by.
They nod at each other and look to the left, headed towards the end of their street and turning right on another. The main streets are a bit wider, and others are wider still, allowing a bit of space for walking instead of being jammed into a narrow side street. Passing another loud street on your right filled with more foodstuff offerings, the kids stop at the next street, pointing at another tall and unremarkable building.
"This is where the weapons shops start. Is there anything in particular yer looking for? I hear Viktors has the best stuff, but we children don't really know much about weapons."
Again, the children's eyes dart around with their heads moving this way and that, as if they are discussing something silently and privately.
Barkers call out from their shops as people of all makes and models pass through the busy streets heading off in every direction. Most of the folks pay you little or no heed whatsoever, but the constant feeling of being watched is difficult to shake with eyes peering out from every dark corner or shadowy alleyway. Walking along this street a little further, you start to notice several weapon related shops across the street from vendors selling long term iron ration type food. "You nice folks looking for any hardtack? Ours is simply the best!"
A huge, 8 foot tall half-ogre looking creature passes by you slapping the blade of a shiny new sword in one meaty palm.

While they move along, he discretely asks the pair of elder teenagers, "I have a distinct feeling we are being watched. Have you noticed anyone following us?"

Theo keeps his eyes on the kids with their secret language. What kind of mischief could they be planning? He pushes his coin purse deeper into his pack.

The fighter's keeps scanning the area for anyone or anything playing too close attention to the group.
Lerrick
The cleric can't help but marvel at the silent method of communication going on between the children, even though she feels that they are leading the group into a trap. The cleric feels that this is not the first time the children have done this two groups new to the area. Still, against her better judgement, she continues along with the group.

Re: The Lost Tavern
The Lost Tavern
The Ethereal Marketplace
Lerrick is convinced these children are leading the group into danger, but she keeps those thoughts to herself as they continue heading deeper into this massive, maze-like marketplace.
Anyone looking for folks watching them spot more than one set of peering eyes following their every move. Torbath doesn't notice the children using their strange cant with anyone other than themselves. Tlachtga tries to follow along with the blinking head movements, but doesn't pick out anything substantial.
The children stop and hold their palms up to the many storefronts packed with weapons and the like. "I thought you folks were looking for something here? You want to see the circus now instead?" Once Aliendron asks about being followed, the oldest boy, apparently named Bobo, answers very matter-of-factly. "Of course yer being followed. Dont you see all the looks yer getting? Some types here are so good at fleecing newbies, they can actually smell the coins you are hiding."
The kids do more of that weird blinking when you notice a large sign about half way down this next street. The sign has big red letters and reads Viktors.

Re: The Lost Tavern
Theo is starting to get an even worse feeling about this situation. The quick, sharp-minded, blinking and head-crooking kids. The confirmation the sharps follow and prey on the new and the unwitting. Both of which the group very much was. He'd wanted to buy some replacement arrows, and sheathe for glowing bastard sword surgically removed from the festered back of The Eldar, in its excrement-fouled muck-dome.... The scruffy, woods born and raised ranger looks around the city market street and says, I wouldn't mind getting off of the street either.
