This "test of agility/strength" stuff with 1D6 you're doing, is that in the rules? Can't seem to find anything about such a mechanic.

Yes it is. Chapter 3 of the rules. Page 15 is where it sort of explains. There are Tests of a attribute and Extraordinary Feats of an attribute. So Drest has a 14 Dex, his Test of Dex is 3:6 or 1-3 on 1d6 succeeds (jumping a 10' pit is one listed example) and his Extraordinary Feat of Dex is 8% (an example listed is escaping bonds). I would equate this to open doors and BBLG in 1e.

These Tests and Extraordinary Feats are tied to your characters Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution stats and can also be found in those three tables of Chapter 3.

I am trying to imagine what an entire party of Berserkers might be like to run.

What comes to mind is last month when my son had his 7 friends over at his birthday and I tried to organize a treasure hunt in the yard

Yeah - that's good. My son had 12 friends over for his birthday. So I totally get it!

I will eventually be trying to briefly bring both of our groups together (organically) so a quick introduction might be made between you all.

If there are any characters who would like to switch from one group to another, this should make for the perfect time for doing that.

If everyone is content in the group they are currently in, there will be no need for switching around of characters and the introduction will be nothing more than a formality.

Think about it and let me know if you would feel more comfortable in some new surroundings.
