Wes, Maag, The Knife

The half-elf, half-orc and gnome all nod when Powstap asks about magical weapons.

Feanol

Takes the offered food and drink, and listens to the conversation. She will try to learn more about the breadfruit and where it can be grown or found.

Darklin

Takes the offered food as not to offend anyone. He listens quietly to all the gossip of mother and plainly states:

Of all the time you all have been here has anything you have come across not tried to kill you? This place is kill or be killed. Momma has to be cleared out. Nothing here lives in peace, except for maybe the Natives. He shakes his head and keeps eating.

Powstap seems a bit uncomfortable when he gets dwarf-hugged, but he is otherwise quite helpful and willing to aid the party.

He tells you everything he knows about the demoness, if that is really what she is. “This MommaPamma juss show up one day, no one know from where. She put bad juju on our tribesmen, enslaving them to do her will. Now they hunt for the rest of us who fled the village, trying to bring us all back one by one to be put under her powers.”

“We tried to fight her but couldn’t do anything to hurt her. I have 20 warriors who will help us, if you think we can come up with a way to eliminate her.”

Darklin eventually reminds the group that this dangerous island is a place of kill or be killed, voicing his opinion about what needs to be done about this takeover. Amun suggests that Mor-Tar might be the key to hurting this Momma person, though Daisy doesn’t seem to agree.

The group continues to eat, drink, and plan out their attack, the target of their aggression only a mile or so away to the north.

Grimm "What if she sucks our brains too?! And I also don't want to kill the Indijuns that were charmed by her."

Elnaerel "Yes. And as far as we know, only magical weapons can kill her, right? The 20 warriors that they have... they won't be of much use..."

Yrias "Except in perhaps neutralising the charmed natives..." finally says the bearded cleric.

and replies to Yrias and says "I agree with that completely."

Feanol

"I'd prefer not to hurt the charmed natives, and I have some good options that way. I have several area of effect spells that can take out a lot of the natives. They'll be incapacitated taking little or no damage in the attacks. I don't have anything that will do much to her. Although I've always heard if you can concentrate on one powerful enemy it really helps. So I should be able to free up a lot of you and neutralize the natives, allowing those with weapons to concentrate on mama. As long as she's getting hit it might also stop her from using spells or powers other than physical combat."

Darklin

If the Natives here can keep the Charmed Natives Busy that will free us up to deal with Momma. Once Momma is gone then the Charmed should come to their senses. Just occupying the Natives will free us up. So any help would be worth having.

Amun nods as she listens to the planning going on.

"Some of us must go for Luther immediately while the battle rages. Momma or her son might hurt him to make us stop, or try to leave with him. He is most probably in the cave with his....son."

Keg makes a face. Look, I agree we don't want to hurt the natives, but we need to be realistic that we might need to rough em up a little... a nice konk on the head might do it... just take them out of the fight and let them sleep it off after, you know. Maybe someone magicy can just put them to sleep or something.

Liam sighs. I hate to admit it, but Keg is right. If she has them charmed and half of what we hear about her is correct, they will be used against us. We need to face that reality and be ready to deal with it as humanely as possible. Ideas?

Grimm "And what if she charms the ones that come with us? Or us?! We have to try to make a plan and act quickly once there." He tries to fill in Powstap with the simplest of words. "Powstap... How many of your people have been... taken by the witch?"

Yrias "Yes. It's unavoidable that we make some casualties among the natives. We have to defend ourselves after all but, depending on their numbers and ours... We can try to make like I said, use the ones on our side to neutralise them. Arcane magic can be of great help here too." He nods at Feanol. "I also have the power to make a small group of them go into a slumber.

I think the strongest among us should try to face Momma directly, while the... less experienced should clear their way by trying to deal with the natives."

Wes

"I've plenty of The Shalm's magic that can deal with the natives. I can Entangle them for a start."

Maag

"We need to get der warriors out of der fight before it starts. If we are attackin' at night, find out where dey are sleepin' an' block der doors or sumfin'."

The Knife

The Knife mumbles quietly to his sword...or possibly both of them.

Keg gestures to Maag. Finally! Someone intelligent. I think that is a good plan. Get some recon on them, entrap the warriors where they sleep, or at least as many of them as we can. Let's make the attack in the early morning, just as the sky is beginning to gray and catch them off guard. It will be early enough most will not be awake and when they do, they will be groggy. Plus those that have been on guard all night will be tired from the watch and already getting drosy for their turn in the sack.

Save the entangling or sleeping magic to deal with those able to put up a fight. Those of us able to swing a sword will protect the spell casters and keep the focus on us.

Liam looks about to say something then pauses. That.... actually makes sense. Those that are not able to fight as well face to face with warriors should also hang back with the castors and use slings and arrows. It might be a good idea to have two or three posted with the castors like this anyway. Especially if we need to make a fighting retreat.

Allissa

"Ok. We need information. How many, where, and when. We also need to know if she has enlisted anyone else to her side. Bing had snake-eye and the ogres, I want to know if there are any other threats besides the natives."

"We need eyes on the camp, watching and reporting. Powstap may know some natives who are already doing that, keeping an eye on their women and kids, let's ask him."

She applauds Maag's thinking. "Yes. We hit them just before dawn, after having secured the housing areas. After we get the layout from scouts, that is."

"Those casters who have some area effect option will position themselves to detain or sleep any native groups who escape the lockdown. They will have to quickly pivot to facing Momma, as magic will be required to face her. A handful of us will engage her and her bodyguards, while a subgroup will locate and release Luther."

She looks around at the assembled group. "Who else volunteers to face Momma?"
