"Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
A classic leadership problem; how do you keep people fully engaged? In simple terms, management ensures the books are balanced and the supplies are in place. Leadership inspires each team member to do their very best.
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
We should try and work out something simple but fair that we're all happy with.
Following on from Tiglath's post, I'm happy to put any profit back into the business, but I understand if others would want to keep their shares back.

And I'm on a daily retainer! Drat.
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
What I was flailing for in my previous posts is the you can use all your mission reward cash as working capital for spending (and plan for that) because the owners of the company's cash will be issued temporary shares (or more accurately a lien) on company property until paid back.
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
You're still working for the wrong company!

Mind you if you stick in for another 40 yrs there's a minimal pension and free travel once a month - as freight!

But apparently I'm getting regular pay, a safe berth and no need to get my feed dirty.

Sounds like you haven't mustered out yet, just enlisted in Merchant for a termBackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:40 pm But apparently I'm getting regular pay, a safe berth and no need to get my feed dirty.![]()

Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
So we just spend the cash and then *at some point* in the games future when we are rich, we actually pay out the shares. That gives everyone incentive to find the 1188th's HQ, kill them and take all their stuffTiglath wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:22 pmWhat I was flailing for in my previous posts is the you can use all your mission reward cash as working capital for spending (and plan for that) because the owners of the company's cash will be issued temporary shares (or more accurately a lien) on company property until paid back.

These "Freelance Flash Harrys" reckon its all fast cars, faster significant others and being shot at but, if they make you an offer, hold out for a solid pension plan - and luncheon vouchers!
It might help to postpone any negotiations until it becomes pressingly obvious that you are the only one who can drive the getaway bus!

Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
Indeed this is a game about negotiation, talking through issues and reaching a reconciliation with the nice Col Kurz...
Actually, no - you kinda nailed it...

Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
Broadly Freya is at the bottom of the map in the lower hangar (where it says Open To Below) Jess is in the garage to her left / east (north being up)..

Everyone else is directly above Freya on the map in the top (northern) east/west corridor at the junctions/crossroads. Frank's room is opposite the Briefing Room, Jakob's is opposite the Pursers Office.
I'll put some dots on tonight but that's the basic orientation.

OK - That's not what I thought as I thought we were all in the garage together working on the shuttle...in which case I can't hear Jess at all!

Comdots. We all wear 'em, it brings us together.

Especially in those "private moments" when folk forget to tune themselves out and "overshare"!

To maintain Unseen Servant's "PG-ish" rating, I recommend we do not post images depicting current battle scenes.

Jess is suddenly glad Freya detained her in the garage, means we're fully U-certificate over here ( until the HE rounds start hitting unarmoured people.... ).

Apparently I'm in the hanger, not the garage!
