The rowan shields are no longer available in Threshold. They were purchased when the gnomish caravan came through town.

Mursley, MU
Taking his cue from the others, Mursley will purchase 1 weeks normal rations, a lantern and 8 vials of oil and pack them on his horse before they leave.
(Plus the materials he needs for scribing the Invisibilty spell to his spellbook)

Yarthmont 2, AC 1000
The following morning the adventurers saddle up, check their provisions, and make their way out of town. Bregalad and Lanny, the two former elven members of the party, had been skilled navigators and left a map of sorts to help locate the tomb. Unfortunately, their departure leaves the party without a skilled navigator. Mursley, however, has some knowledge of geometry, and is capable enough to lead the adventurers east from the Duke's Road through largely undisturbed forest. After several hours pacing the horses through the trees, the companions come across the massive door set into the hillside.
It does not appear to have changed since it was first happened upon.

Re: IC XI
If Myraal is correct, and brute force is all that is required to open the door, Severi estimates it will require the combined strength of the whole party to open.
Re: IC XI
Rhys takes a moment to examine the door and determine where everyone needs to apply pressure in order to force the door open. He lets everyone know what he finds and then prepares to push...

Aquar the cleric steps forward to lend a hand with the door. As he approaches it he says, "We're sure the door is not trapped?"
Re: IC XI
Rhys replies, "I did a thorough examination earlier and found no traps."Grognardsw wrote:Aquar the cleric steps forward to lend a hand with the door. As he approaches it he says, "We're sure the door is not trapped?"

Rhys examines the door again and determines that it must swing inwards. The companions put shoulder to door, and as one begin to push. Ever so slowly, with an outward rush of fetid, stale air, the great stone sealing the entrance scrapes open, revealing a dusty corridor extending back into the hill. The end cannot be seen from where the companions stand, at the entrance to the tomb.

"Well, let's give that a few minutes to air out." Severi tends to the horses before returning to the entrance.

Rhys nods, "In this case, I believe you are more suited to finding traps than me, Thurgan, though I don't know how well you will do without proper light..."MonsterMash wrote:Thurgan, dwarf

Re: IC XI
Aquar hands the Bullseye Lantern of Everlasting Light to Severi, who's forward position in the marching order will enable him cast light for the dwarf's searching.
"The lantern may be dimmed by adjusting the lens cover," says the cleric. "If anyone needs an extra shield let me know." He adjusts the extra dwarf shield on his back while carrying his own Rowan shield on his forearm, hammer in the other hand.

Mursley, MU
mursley is happy with the marching order and to carry the lantern
as a backup he will transfer the his lantern and 2 vials of oil from his saddlebags to his backpack
"Is there somewhere around here where we can conceal the horses?"
